“This place is WONDERFUL! great for outdoor and indoor hangs. We met plenty of new younger parents and families and it’s super cozy inside during the winter! Fireplace with even fireplace visuals on the TVs. Great lighting and almost reminds me of a cozy cottage inside. Wonderful coffee and they have a great selection of wine, beer AND cocktails for the season. Decent parking in the smaller lot and on the street. New neighborhood hang for sure! 5 stars all around!!”

“This is a wonderful little place. I thought they served something unique, but came to learn it is New Zealand style.Choose a soft serve flavor, a fruit, and toppings. You will receive your chosen fruit soft serve and toppings. The fruit other than flavor is indistinguishable.The service is window based, but friendly.No indoor seating all picnic tables with umbrellas. There is also a meatless food truck. In addition to ice cream they serve beer, wine, and coffee.We ordered the banana and Oreo 5/5 and blueberry with hot fudge 5/5.Parking: When busy parking can be challenging.”
“Friends & Fidos visit Buda and Proof Deli came through with magnificent sandwiches on Good Friday! The hot Reuben was fabulous, the Dali Lama was so delicious especially on Good Friday (!) and the Smoking Bird was out of this world. The doggies were treated to water and felt especially welcomed; the weather made the event quite memorable!”
“I drive by this store on a daily basis and always forget to stop by when I need any alcoholic beverages. While cooking dinner, I realized I needed sake and I did not want to drive all the way to Spec's so I called Chris' Liquor and when I asked the guy if they had sake he was so short and kind of rude by telling me "yay, we have two kinds". I was so put out that I remembered South Lamar Wine and Spirits, called them and the response was the complete opposite! When I entered the store, the guy remembered me, pointed me in the right direction and helped me decide which sake was the best for my meal. I was so appreciative and I noticed that they have a great selection of wine and spirits. I plan on going back to this store often. At least they appreciate your business.”

“This place is a gem. It was a full house when we stopped in, and many of the patrons welcomed us with friendly hellos. The humidor is full of cigars galore. Had exactly what I was looking for, and even left with a recommended cigar that was definitely the best I’ve ever smoked. Can’t wait to go back.”

“Yesterday from New York I ordered two fine red Bordeaux to be delivered as wedding anniversary gifts to my son in Austin. I could not do it online. Either their website does not have that option or I couldn't find it. But they seemed to have a good selection of fine wines. So I called them and did it on the phone. Holly on the phone was helpful. She also asked other experts in the store for my questions to which she did not have an answer. Today the delivery was made with nice gift wrapping. Now I know a good wine store in Austin.”
“Moved not too long ago and just found this gem. Great selection from excellent Japanese whiskies to mezcals. These guys gave a nice recommendation for something small batch vs what I was looking for, what a recommendation! Unique selection, great staff.”
“The clerks are all friendly and efficient. The selection of beer is updated weekly, there is a.large selection of wine and even some discounted craft beer. They also carry coconut ? ? and a variety of consumables. Dog friendly as well.”

“Nice little touristy stop. Lots of cool memorabilia, a couple dozen retro arcade/pinball machines and a few stations of old school Sega/Nintendo/PS consoles hooked up to tube style TVs. We had a lot of fun doing the scavenger hunt. It's a nice affordable stop for a couple hours of fun. The young woman working the front of house was very welcoming and funny.I was there in late January during a weekday, so definitely not peak tourist time. It's a fun stop, but not a "can't miss" sort of thing so I wouldn't recommend waiting to get in if it's busy.”

“Best egg salad sandwich I’ve ever had! I had never been or ordered but on a whim, I ordered this particular sandwich to be delivered. I fell in love, it’s so fresh & delicious. It was put together so neatly & wrapped in brown paper. I also would like to call attention to the nice staff. I was having issues ordering again so I called to inquire about the egg salad. Jesse let me know they still had some & I let her know I was having issues. So she offered to take an order for me for pick up. Lovely store on south Congress, I will definitely be going back to explore all it has to offer soon.”

“I don't know ANYTHING about liquor, but I wanted to get a special bottle for an anniversary gift for my husband. After pondering if I should buy based on the price, how cool the bottle looks, or the points, etc., I finally decided to ask for help. Their spirits Expert was on another level educating me on aging process, notes, barrels --I mean I learned so much and ended picking a really nice tequila and bourbon. Such a pleasant experience ☺️”

“Honestly, this is my new favorite place to get a well priced burger! Their smash burger is fresh, a fantastic size, wonderfully flavored and very filling. The veggies are fresh af and I cannot get enough of the fries!! The burger comes with fries and is only $11- hell yeah! I’m really looking forward to trying other things on the menu. Also, the little store itself has a fancy version of everything so it’s super fun to walk around while you wait on your food to be ready. It’s clean, it’s cute, their clerks are so friendly. I also enjoyed the 90’s playlist while I shopped. Highly recommend!”
“Ok late post Oct 23' but I thought I should share this info with those who forgot that Texas is a state that does not sell alcohol on Sundays, you can go to a bar, buy beer or wine till a certain time but not hard alcohol. I totally forgot (arrived from Los Angeles on a Sunday =/ ), I was soooo looking forward to pre-drinking and not spending so damn much at a bar (ACL weekend). Blehhh had to wait till Monday, stayed at the Hyatt and read mixed reviews about other liquor stores, so I decided to take a nice walk across the river to visit this spot. The customer service was superb, they sell all kinds of liquor, you name it, they probably have it! Thank you!Ok I lied, they probably sell the popular brands, its not as big as a bevmo. LOL”

I tried their breakfast sandwich but I wasn’t too much of a fan because of the overpowering arugula flavor. Fries were good though! Would definitely be okay with coming back to try a different dish.”

“This place is always one of my favorite stops because they just have so many things from everywhere and a lot of options that you don't find it regular places. When you're looking for a nice bottle of wine, champagne or the glasses to put them in plates, snacks, chocolates pillows they really just have a larger variety of unique things that you won't find it any of the other shopping places, highly recommend you hop in here and check it out. Also good place to go for stocking stuffers.”
“Wow! Brick's Pub is a real hidden gem. The food was delicious and the service was great. Prices are very reasonable and the vibe is kinda upscale, but Bribk's is cozy and inviting at the same time. There is a big outdoor covered patio and kids are always welcome.”
