“Friends & Fidos visit Buda and Proof Deli came through with magnificent sandwiches on Good Friday! The hot Reuben was fabulous, the Dali Lama was so delicious especially on Good Friday (!) and the Smoking Bird was out of this world. The doggies were treated to water and felt especially welcomed; the weather made the event quite memorable!”
“Came in to get something to make a hot toddy. Whatever is in this air isn't playing. The staff was so kind and assisted me with my purchase. Even got puppy treats for my furbaby. He liked the energy in the store he didn't bark at all. And the music was awesome.”
“I wandered in today looking for a specific liquor that the distillery's website said was stocked here. I was greeted warmly when I walked in and asked about the thing. The computer said there was one in stock, so the guy went looking in the back and asked the manager for me. No luck. Then I went brain dead on the brand of rum I wanted, but he helped me figure it out quickly. I then wanted to just look around, and in that time, heard everyone else getting the same awesome service. A second person came back from lunch and was immediately tuned in and helpful as well. Absolutely amazing place with a great selection.”

“I love it here! The staff is always super nice and helpful. If its recently new, released or whats upcoming they will have it here! I went shopping around at 3 different major brand stores and couldn't find Deep Eddys pineapple vodka but they had it here. My fav liquor store for sure! The prices are awesome and if they dont have it they'll order it.”
“They really went above and beyond my expectations. I had initially ordered from twin liquors and never had a problem but this time my experience was awful and the associate I spoke with was horrible trying to order a bottle of liquor for my son but South Lamar wine & spirits really came through for my order and went out of there way to deliver my order. I will be using them from now on and highly recommend them.”

“Excellent store regarding the staff, the product availability & selection, as well as great prices!
To mention manager Lupe, outstandingly professional, positive, patient, knowledgeable, caring, thorough, who went the extra mile to help searching for, & found the items promptly for me, 2 products of an unique European type spirit (Grappa di Chanti, Grappa di Moscato Mauro Sebaste, both like a vodka distilled from grapes).
Also another staff member (who in humility refused to publish his name, very polite, professional and caring), went as well at great lengths to search and guide me to manager Lupe, that actively was surveying around the store.
At checkout, the cashier Alex was very positive, prompt and caring.
The store is located in a friendly, safe and clean area.
I would appreciate if the store owner acknowledges them.

“Very friendly staff and great to deal with. We had tickets to the black rabbit comedy next door. We bought some drinks from here since it's BYOB. The doors weren't opening at the venue for thirty minutes. We'd bought some booze from these guys, they stuck it back in the fridge for us and had it ready when we came back. Very chill, great selection, would highly recommend.”

They were only able to partially fill my order due to low stock, but she found another location nearby who had the item and called to request that they hold the item for me. “Manoj will go down in folk lore history allowing us to grab Austin Texas by the big, buckaneering cahoonas and conquer the small apple. Test rivalries aside, Manoj has been like a brother to us, and not only has he clocked that we’re functioning alcoholics with our 7 stints in the store within 36 hours, but he’s not judged us once, and served us with a smile on his face ?? no doubt Manoj will be running an empire of liquor stores one day, hopefully this review is the push he needs to make the final step”
“Seriously, great wine, selection - you can always come in and get a quality recommendation for a fabulous wine regardless of what you’re looking for. If you like different wines and a customized experience, I would definitely recommend West Woods.they have a full selection of liquors also, but I mainly really come here for the wine selection and knowledgeable staff and always recommend it”

“I Went there to buy some beer for a buddy’s bachelor party last minute. He told me to bring some weird IPAs and it turns out I could not have ended up in a better spot. This place had an awesome selection of drinks, an extremely courteous staff, and an excellent chef. The samosas are the bomb!”

“I frequent this spot. Everyone’s friendly but the past two times I’ve gone my items were rang up as more expensive items. For example, a $2 lemonade was rang up as a $20 alcoholic lemonade. This isn’t a huge problem but I’ve had to catch these myself instead of the person ringing them up. So just be mindful purchasing here and watch your receipt.”

“They had the tequila i was after, and prices were cheaper than at spec's or Jacob's liquor right down Menchaca, but they didnt have the Miles gin I was after. Easy to find, and ample parking, as the place never seems busy. 10/10 for friendly staff”
