“Hummingbird House is such a perfect oasis! I fell in love with Hummingbird House 4 years ago and always knew it would be the venue I would be married at. It has such a magical feeling to the entire venue. Everything about the atmosphere was perfect, homey, warm, loving. It is the most beautiful venue in Austin. Danny and his assistant Kelsey are so wonderful and easy to work with and truly make you feel like you are the most important person in the room. I loved every second of my wedding day and am so thankful to Danny and Kelsey for making my day feel like a dream!!”

“The VFW was a fantastic and affordable venue to host our family event, Sweet 16. The auditorium comfortably held 150 people with a stage for the DJ and enough space for food buffets and dancing. We very much appreciated their accommodations!”

“While driving through I35 from San Antonio to Waco Pinballz kingdom caught our attention right away as the building looks like a castle and it has a huge dragon at the entrance. We stopped to see more of it, and it didn’t disappoint. This is a cool place for kids and adults. It has plenty of classic and new video games, pinball machines and fun games. They also have an area for birthdays and a bar and grill area with TVs for adults to wait for the kids if that is what they want. The staff is friendly, and the place looks clean and easy to navigate around. We will come back again.”

“Great environment. Comfortable booths or bar seats. Excellent wifi. Staff is friendly and beer-smart. Beers are phenomenal. If you like malty brown ales, you have to have a 'Split to Hvar'. I will be back.”

“I went on a boat cruise during Sxsw. Some promotion party for Bose, they had really good DJs, with food and drinks included. My boat ride was free, and has been one of the best experiences I’ve had on the lake. We went at night, so it was dark and cold, but the good music kept us dancing, and having a great time. I’m definitely recommending this if you’re out of town and it’s cold but you still want to experience town lake in Austin.”

“Very unique space they have at this bar. Had a really good time at a party, DJ Milo was great, the music was so good. The space is very funky, we have rabbits painting on the wall. The cocktails at this bar are very well prepared, I was not expecting that. My drink was very delicious, and they have tacos outback by the patio. Las Perlas has easy access to the bar next door if you go through the back, so that’s great. Really fun spot located on seventh Street.”

“I loved the energy here!! It was like an LA rooftop vibe for hipsters!They had a temporary hand roll vendor outdoor who should be there permanently!!!There was also this amazing cat being featured.”

“January 2023:Another visit and noticed a few new items on display and the 'Sharks' exhibition which was very informative with lots of interactive displays. The gift shop also had some new merchandise and new movies at the IMAX theater.There was some new membership changes where the most significant is the parking vouchers now expire a year from receiving them. If you have any old Red ones then they will swap them out with new ones. I believe the Blue ones are still good. Another change is the vouchers are now used for 50% off member game day parking for Texas Longhorn home football games where used to be free.The Star Cafe was open and had lunch there. The staff was very friendly and the food was good.August 2023:Enjoyed the 'The Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper' exhibit by seeing some great works of art.January 2023:A must place to visit if you are visiting Austin or a local. They have permanent and touring exhibits plus an IMAX theater. The Hilos de Tradición: Dresses of Mexico and Art of Texas State Parks temporary exhibits were nice to see. The Republic of Texas Mall is now open which is really nice where the street is gone and now a big green space all the way to the Texas State Capital.”

“My husband and I came for his first time mini golfing and had a blast! He's a veteran and I'm a history teacher so I really enjoyed reading the historical information at each themed site. Especially #17. We spent about an hour and a half at the course, there was a great variety of difficulties and a few fun obstacles! My husband got a hole in one using the airplane ramp. I would definitely recommend for a family outing or date night!”

“We love E 6th in general, but this has to be the best addition in a long time! It has an awesome view and good cocktails (strong), my only complaint is too much garnish and I don’t love the plastic cups. It can get VERY crowded so I definitely recommend going earlier in the evening or during the week. It has an exclusive speakeasy vibe which makes it feel really cozy. Perfect spot for pictures, enjoying the sunset, or taking out of towners for the city views.”

“Excellent hotel with excellent breakfast. Christina at reception was absolutely a gem. Her enthusiasm and kindness was exactly what you want when you check in. She even wished me well in a presentation I had to give. I have never felt so well cared for as a customer. I wish everyone e was like Christina at hotel check in. She really wanted me to enjoy all the amenities. That felt great. I can’t say enough great things about her.”

“I am so glad we chose this venue! Truly the best day of my life. We haven’t gotten many pictures back, as we just got married, but I had to come on here and rave about how wonderful everything is at Chapel Lodge. I love that you have an option to rent out and stay at the venue, my dad and mom’s family stayed at the lodge and cabin, it was so convenient and accommodating to all of their needs! Jaycie is a sales rep at the venue, we loved her from the very beginning, she’s one of the reasons we chose this venue! We actually hired her as our planner too, again another wonderful decision! The whole day was seriously perfect! She went above and beyond and we cannot thank her enough for all she did for us! The venue is so beautiful it really doesn’t need a whole lot of flowers etc in my opinion; we had about 400 candles and it was so romantic! There are so many different spaces to utilize, if you haven’t been out here I highly recommend you get out there and check it out! If you’re looking to have the perfect wedding/party/stay etc.. look no further!Ps if you are looking at any of the previous reviews about food or bar, chapel lodge is only a venue, whoever hosted the party hired those people so this venue should not be to blame if you were not satisfied.”

“We had our wedding at Rambling Rose Ranch in October 2023. I believe it was the second venue we visited, and I immediately knew it was "the one." The venue is beautiful. The dance floor surrounded by all the greenery and the window panes left me in awe. It was a beautiful spot for our first dance, and the surrounding area for games. One one side of the dance floor was this rustic bar area with three cocktail tables - one we used for our fake tattoo station. The "arena" is the covered area with a huge space large enough for all the tables, catering, a spot for the DJ, AND dancing (which we had to move under because it started to rain a bit). The steps with the gorgeous tiles leading up to the ceremony site from the dance floor are beautiful, and the ceremony site with the benches and the huge tree to get married under. We placed many pillows on the benches for our guests to use in case they found the benched uncomfortable, but there were no complaints about them. The fire pit, while we didn't use it, had extra seating not too far away from the dance floor, but far enough for anyone who wished for a "quieter" spot. Which also happened to be next to the animals. They were a HUGE plus, and a hit among our guests as they were able to feed them apples and carrots.The groom suite and the bridal suite are beautifully decorated as well. Spacious and hidden away just enough that you can see your guests walking to the ceremony site, but they can't see you if you are wandering around. We had a private cake cutting in the bridal suite after we ate our dinner with our guests.Working with Sandy and Morgan was easy during a time that is usually pretty stressful. They answered my many questions, and gave us several recommendations. We felt welcomed and wanted. When I made mistakes from reading our contract wrong, they were gracious and never treated me poorly. From the day we first reached out to even now after our wedding they have been great with communication.We highly recommend this venue!”

“Definitely consider Allan House as the location for your next big event. We chose Allan House as our wedding venue and couldn't have chosen a better spot for our celebration. The venue speaks for itself in its ambiance, historic setting, and beautiful courtyards. Juliana was very easy to work with. They have a list of pre-approved vendors which was very helpful in avoiding the analysis paralysis that easily comes with building the right team of vendors to host an event. Our guests loved the wedding and the venue and found themselves easily floating around each of the beautiful pockets inside this gorgeous house.One careful thing to note is parking. The parking lot directly bordering Allan house on the backside of the venue is owned by someone that is aggressively waiting to capitalize on unsuspecting event attendees. A dedicated parking place or a map on the website for best possible locations to park would be a helpful fix for this.”

“As an independent contracted event staff worker, I have been here over 50 times and it’s such a great venue. It’s SO clean. There’s plenty of bathrooms, it’s huge, the green room is nice and air conditioned and aesthetically pleasing. I think it’s a great place for practically any event.”

“Great hotel. It's not a good location too close to the Freeway but no Freeway noise. Superb customer service, exquisite rooms, and bars. I wasn't impressed with the food, limited menu, and not enough quantities for the money. Overpriced food. Parking is outrageous $60 bucks a night for parking. Be aware of it. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with a great hotel for a weekend getaway, anniversary, or celebrating, or just a romantic ? gesture for you and your spouse. I would definitely recommend this place ? ? PS don't touch the mini bar in the room unless you expect to pay the surcharge. It's pricey!!!! I really like the overall experience ? ☺️”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Pikopye’s Town and their entire crew. I have always planned big crazy birthdays, and decided to let someone else handle it this year and they exceeded my expectations by miles! You pick your party package, show up and they keep the party on a perfectly timed schedule. I just told them a theme and I was worried they couldn’t accommodate because I’d never seen a trolls themed party by them, but they went above and beyond! They were actually so excited to create the theme for us. I was able to enjoy the party with my children and all the guests. The additions they offer were so fun. We had a balloon artist they bring in, and she was a huge hit! The staff is so kind and welcoming . I highly recommend. My 4 year old and all of her friends and cousins had the best time. There’s even a coffee bar and room I like to call the “dad’s corner” because they can watch football while the kids do their thing. The price is extremely affordable and worth every penny and then some! Thank you so much for making her birthday the best day!!”

“I love great customer service. Everyone was so friendly. I really appreciate the front desk manager. He offered a personal postage stamp so I could send my post card to my loved one. I just find that going above and beyond for your guest, few and far between. Very enjoyable experience for our first trip to Austin.”

“We celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday at Balance Dance Studio last weekend and it was great! Kira was fantastic leading the kids' dance session –you can tell she has a lot of experience teaching little ones (guests were 2-5 years old). The staff is friendly and helpful, and the studio has a really nice atmosphere. It was a comfortable place for the parents to hang out, and the kids had a lot of fun!”

“I was extremely surprised at how beautiful the hall and outside area that Springdale Station has. I photographed a wedding a few weeks ago and it is beautiful! The indoor areas are broken up into multiple rooms which can either staunch the flow of the event or allow for more things to do depending on your event. This wedding flowed within the layout of this venue well. Bride and groom suite are small but pleasant. They are on property but not a part of the main building which was the old station. I would love to photograph more here as it was a pleasure and quite stunning. Built in bars. A parking lot shared with the neighboring buildings but they section off some for the venue and guests. Very very cool.”

“Our stay at the Carpenter was fantastic. We booked late in the night, rolled up not knowing what to expect - the service was amazing. Everyone was great, the rooms are beautiful. Seems like every surface is raw materials - it’s grounding and lovely. Highlight of the stay was Drew at the desk! He was so helpful and easy to talk to! Someone promote this guy!
