“Ollie's is always hit or miss for me- I go to the Alvin store every few months. They always have a good variety of fun things for little kids. They also have good kitchen tools. Personal supplies like shampoo at my store were not brands I had ever heard of so didn't buy. My most recent visit- I was after tea towels and pot holders but what they had was very thin and wouldn't work for me.”

“Nice place with lots of affordable items and a fun mix of decor, snacks, and gadgets. Some shelves were a little messy, but it was still easy to find what I wanted. The staff was helpful, and checkout was quick. Overall a solid experience worth coming back for.”

“The remodeled store is quite nice and actually provides some fresh things such as produce. It’s handy so that you don’t have to drive 15 miles to the grocery store. It was getting dilapidated before they remodeled so I’m glad they were able to do it, and do it so quickly. They didn’t change the layout of the store so it is still familiar. There is a self-checkout station now. Another problem is that beforehand, the checkout lines could get very long, which was irritating if you’d only gone in to pick up one or two things. Overall, I’m glad the store is there and had been upgraded. The staff are helpful as well. And if you park at the west end of the parking lot, you are perfectly lined up with the runway that the planes for the skydivers use next door. It’s neat to watch them.”
“There's nothing in the store that costs just a dollar, anymore, but they have versatile stock less than Walmart prices...And...frequently, their shelves are adequately stocked.
The Store surprised me and had an item stocked that i needed, but didn't expect they would have. It was a great find!”

“It was a standard, bit-cluttered Dollar Tree. Bathroom was low-end but decent and didn't require a key, which I appreciate.A clerk opened another register as there were probably five customers in line - that's a Positive.I have not before seen the PLUS aisle with $3 and $5 items. It is Good that they are pretty clearly marked.For a Dollar Tree, this is just what I expect”
“It's funny how Dollar General sells the same items, but each location has a slightly different layout. I'm fine with it because I enjoy visiting Dollar General. I don't know why my wife wanted to bypass two other locations and come to this one, but here we are. I do like visiting different locations to see if their location is different than others. My wife and granddaughter went in while I stayed in the vehicle. I did pop in momentarily to look around. They were definitely well stocked. Their store layout was mainly to the left while the other two that I frequent have layouts that are straight ahead. For me this also means that the checkout area is to the right while I'm used to them being to the left. The guy at the checkout was pretty cool and courteous. Now that I had the opportunity to get a look at the store, I headed back to the vehicle until my wife was finished.”

“I visited this Dollar General two days in a row and always visit here. Today, I met the manager, Regina, and a new employee Charmayne. Charmayne showed me to the area where I could get a basket while she organized sale items. When I was ready to purchase my items, she immediately stopped what she was doing and assured me of the pricing of all items I had in question. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest about what she knew and did not know. This is the type of authenticity that builds trust.
I complemented Regina on how well organized and clean the store always is everytime that I patron this business. Although this is not her scheduled day to work, she is here organizing, adding prices so that customers are aware of their clearance sale, and training and acknowledging the great work of her new employee Charmayne. This is servant leadership in progress. She is working alongside her teammates and demonstrating that she is willing to do what she asks them to do, while depmonstrating superb customer service on a day she isn't supposed to be there. She personally stopped her task to point out to me the items that were on sale so that I would have a chance to benefit from the sale! I ended up purchasing sale items in addition to the items I was there to purchase. This is excellent customer service and it is my hope that the leaders of Dollar General recognize the excellence in their store manager here at the Bailey location. This is the top of leadership that renders repeat customers, such as myself. Well done Regina and Charmayne. I look forward to encountering them both during my future shopping experiences here.”
“Customer services was aces the fellow customers we re excellent but the shop are arrangement is based on a treasure hunt theme which has the mantra it's somewhere in here find it. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry so that allowed me time to find the house of the gypsy traveller who through several payments and a questionable ceremony of hand waving and to him earth shattering realization pointed me to where I can find the Ramen and yes to answer the question you are wondering it was the complete opposite end of the store. But otherwise it's convenient and the cashiers are super chill”

there are so many plants for landscaping available this month. However;
my favorite thing is the fruit plants ready to go with actual fruit growing on the branches! At almost half of what the big box stores are charging you can find fruit trees at HGC, such as blueberry bushes or olive trees.”
“I am very impressed with the remodel! I wish that I had taken pictures of how beautiful it looked!I pray that the employees and customers do their best to keep it looking so organized! We all need to think about the fact that we shop at this store, because it is in our neighborhood and it's convenient! “On today October 21,2025 I went into the store on 16445 S Post Oak this morning to purchase a few items. When I got back home I realized I was missing my Dishwasher liquid…I went back to the store to let them know that I did not get one of my item. It was a bottle of the Dishwashing liquor on the counter just like the one I had purchased. The cashier said someone left it. She called for the Manager she went into the office with my receipt I guess she looked at the camera and came back and said I had got my items. I had one bag and I know she did not put it in my bag …why would I drive back up to the store for a bottle of dish washing liquid if I had not gotten it. It’s the principle of the matter.Time is to hard
and I do not have money just to throw away. I am hoping someone address this issue.
