“Wonderful place to stay while visiting Marfa. Great location, walking distance to everything, nice and quiet. Cute, well appointed mini-apartments with kitchen, living room space, etc. Owners are super responsive and had the opportunity to meet Clark who was passing through while we were there. Lots of Texan hospitality and I highly recommend staying here when visiting Marfa. Will definitely come back!”

“We chose the Riata Inn based on reviews and price. It was clean, no frills, easy to find, tons of parking, etc ... It was perfect for what we needed. Everyone was friendly and helpful. This is not a fancy or high end place but we knew it wouldn't be. Bed was clean and comfy, bathroom was huge and bath towels were super white and fluffy. We planned on staying at Riata again to do more research on the Porvenir Massacre (which brutally took my husbands great great grandfather- if you don't know about this, look it up) but we decided to stay in another town just because. If you get a chance, drive over to Alpine. It's a pretty drive and then hit up Birria Kings food truck. Really, really good food and not weirdly bougie like some of the spots in Marfa seemed to be becoming. We actually chose to eat at DQ in Marfa instead of some of the other options which are being totally gentrified- was clean and good, locals work and eat there too! Don't forget to go to the viewing spot to see the Marfa Lights and DO go to the local Marfa museum and check out the USO hall/visitors center and walk to the top of city hall to get an awesome 360 degree view of Marfa!!”

“I will try this once again since last post flopped. Didn't stay at the hotel but did eat at their restaurant, Laventure . A little slow on service, but food and drinks were excellent . Joel was a great server but couldn't make the kitchen go any faster. Sat in the back of the restaurant by their pizza oven. Therefore, you only get 2 stars for atmosphere (called ahead for reservations- punished for a party of 5, I suppose). Food was exceptional. Drinks were very good and original - "Bee's knees cocktail ", Chihuahua Sunset , A bullet for the General are but a few of the delicious drinks. Tenderloin Steak fries ranked in my top 5 , maybe 3 steaks I've ever tasted(I'm 70). Black truffle and mushroom pizza - to die for . Fried chicken breast and a 10 Oz. New York strip finished us off . All very well prepared. Oh yeah, salads were the bomb.”

“Historic, charming hotel that is impeccably maintained. Loved the courtyard, the fireplace, and the cozy atmosphere. Beds were super comfy and large. The microwave and fridge in the room too. Friendly, understanding and accommodating front desk staff. Great location too, walking distance to galleries, shops, restaurants. We will be back!”
