I have been using Nolana Animal Hospital for about 26 years. I think that should explain my satisfaction.

Today on April 19, 2021, I took Chloe with Andy Baker, DVM from Nolana Animal Hospital in Mcallen for an evaluation due to Chole having a condition with her knees . Her patella would pop out , Chloes vet at Companion Animal Hospital referred me to this Nolana Animal Hospital. Well I just took my Chloe to get killed by this vet. He starts asking all this questions and all this time he has her file that was sent to him he puts her to walk towards me twice n that's the last I saw of my Chloe. After that he decided to pop her knee in place and the pain must be so bad for Chloe that she immediately was gasping for air and started to turn blue and the worst is that he didn't even know what was going on I told him she's in a lot of pain n the assistant says Doc I don't feel her heart beat so the rush her to the back. After waiting he comes n tells me she trying to come out of her seizure. Then he takes me to go see her I see my Chloe lifeless n I tell them she's death n they say no she's trying to come out of her seizure my baby was death so I start crying like crazy n they get me out of there I to the doctors office. In less then five minutes he comes n tells me she's gone. I was crying n crying like crazy I took my Chloe to that appointment not knowing she was going to get killed. Am in my pain crying n crying n they come n give me a bill of $133.53 I had to pay after they killed my Chloe. Devastated and Heartbroken never ever would I take any animal to this place NOLANA ANIMAL HOSPITAL IN MCALLEN!!!!!! #justiceforchloe

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. the old man who claimed to be the owner / veterinarian is either sleeping with his manager or to blind and ignorant to see the damage that's being done to his business by the horrible management lady with the crazy eyes (lady blue is not your color). If they treat people like s**** imagine how they will treat your pets. In all fairness, we were there twice before and dealt with the younger vet (a Latino with beard) who was caring and compassionate when it came to the care of our puppy. Bottom line, we were told they did not want our business, good riddance... did they actually think we would willingly want to bring our pets (who are like Our children) to this savagery?!

Dr Ramos provided excellent care and was knowledgeable about malabsorption issues, and those past test results shared/and what tests should be done next. We drove from Mexico to Texas with our dog, whom Mex vets were coming up short diagnosis and treatment wise. Very happy with the care of our family member/dog by Dr Ramos.

Life Savers! We were visiting McAllen from San Antonio. My wife noticed our 12 year old female Yorkie Poo wasn't acting her usual self and had thrown up the day were we were going to leave for the Valley so she decided to take her with us. Upon arrival in McAllen she started to rapidly deteriorate, she would not eat or drink, continued throwing up and had what felt was a fever. We were able to get an appointment with Dr. Ramos the next morning and he ran blood work and initially believed it to be leukemia as her white blood cells were completely depleted. The decided to keep her and give her antibiotics to help battle whatever infection was giving her a fever and making her sick. That afternoon Dr. Ramos called with an update. After examining her case in great detail he believed her illness was actually a life threatening condition called Pyometra We never spayed her when she was younger and her uterus had become infected. It was poisoning her slowly, she was on the verge of death. He advised that we could possibly save her life with emergency surgery to remove the infected uterus but we had to make the decision fast as she was rapidly deteriorating . He was very honest that because of her age she was not a good candidate but told us it was our only chance. We took his advice and authorized the surgery. Thank God we did. It's almost a week later and Toshi is a brand new dog , she is alert and eating and walks around as usual. She is on the road to a full recovery and hopefully many more years with our family! A huge thank you to all the staff and to Dr. Ramos for saving our dogs life! What a great animal hospital!!

After surgery, Chloe couldn’t wait to come home. She was all smiles, despite her knee surgery. Thank you to Dr. Baker and his amazing staff for taking good care of my baby girl.

Everyone was so welcoming! I loved that you had a "cat entrance" and a "dog entrance." The wait wasn't too long and when I went in, the veterinarian was extremely knowledgeable and taught me some about my kitten. He also caught that he had an infection. I'm very grateful I came here!
