Rude staff. Asked about the line since there’s only one line for the entire store. Doesn't make sense to have one line for purchases, pickups and returns.

I went to the store on Saturday January 21 to pickup my order & the lady that helped me Alma was horrible!!! She has no customer service and extremely rude! I’m guessing she hates her job cause she treats customers bad. Alma needs to find a new job!! I will never go back to that store again!!

GO WITH VANESSA!!!Hadn't been to James in a tight minute. Went for a chain swap, as the one gifted I already had. Vanessa was calm, patient, and ready to help. I appreciated that she wasn't pushy. Def a good vibe. Extremely approachable and kind. My daughter and I will continue to look for her whenever we visit this Avery. Thank you Vanessa for the great service!

Update: Alma the store manger reached out and made things right. Thank you so much, Alma for being so kind and correcting this problem!I went in on Black Friday, with my husband to purchase a charm bracelet and charm I have been coveting for a few months now, with plans to fill my bracelet over time. I wanted to congratulate myself for all the hard work I had done recently in my job. I went in and there were a few people in the store, and they were all being attended too. I browsed around and there was a group of employees standing around talking while two or three were helping everyone else. It should be noted I was not greeted nor spoken to until I walked up to a female employee (I did not get her name, I will return and get it) I asked for assistance looking for charm bracelets and Texas charms, she walked me to a case where the bracelets were and acted very put out that I asked for assistance, she was condescending and rude when she showed me where things were and walked off. I looked at the bracelets and was deciding between a couple and needed to see if they had my size, I asked a young girl for assistance and she sent me to Annabelle. Annabelle was kind as she showed me the bracelets I admired, and then took me to the case to pick out a charm. She assisted in the placement and said my bracelet would be ready for pick up the next day at 3PM.I walked in today to pick up my bracelet around 2PM since I was in the area to confirm the pick up time and perhaps see if it was ready early, as I’ve been waiting for this bracelet for awhile.Annabelle was not so kind today, she was condescending with her tone and body language, the side eye and speaking to me as if I were an imbecile was my favorite. She said it would be ready at 5PM with a passive aggressive tone. I said oh okay, I was told three and the condescension was thick as she said no, pick up is at 5. Both days I walked into the store I was wearing t-shirts. I guess t-shirt wearing simpletons don’t belong in James Avery?? When I returned after 5 to retrieve my bracelet Daniel assisted me, and I got some “lovely” side eyes from the female staff. I was wearing a button down shirt to celebrate a family birthday. I guess my look was more to their taste since I was treated with a little more dignity and respect. This type of treatment is abysmal and entirely unacceptable. To treat people poorly for no reason especially people coming in to a store to spend hard earned decent money on an item they’ve been pining over for quite some time. I’m considering returning my item and going to a different jeweler where I might be treated more kindly. I’ve not been made to feel so undignified and out of place in an establishment before. This was not the experience I had hoped for when rewarding myself for my hard work.

Let me start by saying first that this location doesn’t even deserve any stars for their horrible service. We went by early in the day to pick up our jewelry we’d taken a couple of days prior to have new charms put on and were told we’d have to come after 5pm close to 5:40 and upon arrival while they still had lights on and were walking around the store I sent my husband in to get my jewelry and while they could clearly see him and hear him knocking just to simply ask to receive our jewelry, they completely ignored him and walked away from the door. As someone who works in customer service myself, I understand we all want to close up early but we still have a job to do and all these stuck up women that work at this specific location made it pretty clear they’re only there for their commission based pay checks. 0/0 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

You need to get better customer service representatives at the north 10th mcallen store came to pick up an item and I was waiting in line when one of your associates tell other people that the line is by the sign then a rude representative alma tell me who was next to the sign that I need to get behind them when I was there waiting after waiting like 10 mins I was finally waited on and picked up my item

I trusted James Avery that they would actually put the right pendent in. And no I did not order cowboy boots. I give them 2 stars because when I went the woman who helped me was very kind. I could give 1 star because now I need to go back tomorrow to get the right gift I was going to give. The manager needs to train whoever packaged this and have a system for curbside where they show you what you purchased before putting in the back seat. Overall, this is managements fault and the people who put the necklace in the bag. I should of checked right away when they gave it to me but it’s okay. Train better for the holidays is all I am saying. If they gave me the wrong gift I’m sure another customer got the wrong gift.Update: Darlene helped me with this situation and gave me better explanation to what happen. Thank you for your help and being kind.
