Matthew was great with my rentals. I had an odd situation where I needed to do two separate rentals - one for Mexico for a day and then another one way rental afterwards. He was knowledgeable and made the process smooth and easy. He got me out of there in 10 minutes for both rentals and he was really friendly and pleasant to work with.

No Executive lanes but they let you choose from any available.The Cadillac XT6 is nice. Has three rows too.

Rented over a dozen times from National and at least ten times from Enterprise at MFE and never have had any issues. Sometimes the line is a bit long to get cars, but they process customers quickly. Staff are excellent as well! Would definitely recommend them over Hertz, Thrifty, and Dollar at MFE.

I was coming to rent a vehicle and the lady was so rude to me at the front counter at the McAllen National car rental location. She was very nice to the guy in front of me and the guy behind me , but was very dismissive towards me. Not trying to say it may be based on race but who knows. This incident happened around 11:00 pm. Thank goodness i only have to come to this location this one time. Not the best experience.

I rent with National often for business travel. Typically, I have no issues. At this location the experience has been less than ideal. I received a Hyundai Kona with over 30,000 miles. Definitely not an upgrade in any way. Any car with that many miles should be rented at Alamo — not National. To make things even better, I’ve been waiting over 2 hours for roadside. I accidentally locked the keys in the car...

I have over 130 rental days with National this year. You would think loyalty means something, but not at this branch! I am tired of being lied to and treated like a first time client every week. I was once again told that they only had 1 SUV. When I went to the lot, there were 3+ rows full of SUVs vs the 2018 with greater than 50,000 miles I was placed in. I went back in and told them I would like one of the SUVs I've previously rented and now this is going to constitute an upgrade charge and I was lectured on how upgrades work. I was given a replacement SUV as miraculously they let drawer had expanded and they now had multiple SUVs. The second vehicle's AC was broken so I had to drag my luggage back in again for a 3rd try. The lack of customer service and loyalty appreciation is egregious and I will no longer tolerate being lied to at this branch every week!

Super shady, gave me a car in middle of night with no inspection done to it. Expired registration sticker could've been pulled over and given a ticket. Missing exterior trim and had a huge dent on the back. Now they're trying to charge me to pre-existing damage. Stay far away from this one

Rude desk clerk at the McAllen International Airport. I tried to pickup the car I requested but she said I could not change it was to late but she had to SUV available.

No car available and the lady said probably for all day she was rude. I make my reservation for over a week and they not even prepare or at least send an email about the problem. Terrible, the worst national location a ever been.

So no where in the email does it say to have a specific credit card when confirming your name to the rental car employee. I think he's probably one of the only employees there as I saw him about three times during my stay in the RGV. But we had to take an Uber to the airport (hence the rental car) and then he demanded that we use the same credit card we used online to prove it was us. My partner and I have the same card numbers and if he swipes his card, my name will show (he is an authorized user). I didn't bring that card, but could have easily put a deposit down with another card in my name. But alas, he would not give us the car. So we had to take an Uber BACK to go find the card and then come back to the airport. How frustrating. Then he has the audacity to say "did you still want me to hold the car for you or can I give it to someone else??" Excuse me? You mean the car that we paid for... furthermore, learn from my experience. Or use a different company offered here in MFE.

McAllen, Tx. International Airport 11/07/2020... after waiting on one counter representative of 45 mins., they were unprepared however willing to charge my credit card and have me wait for a vechicle they did not know when would be available. Not sure what the point of making a reservation is, nor the reason for the poor attitude & service.
