Quinta Mazatlan is an absolutely amazing and beautiful place, a true green oasis and nature sanctuary right in the middle of the city. It is a former stately Spanish/Mexican style home, a historical mansion that is exquisitely preserved and opened to the public. The grounds offer pleasant, well-marked trails through a gorgeous landscape with a sub-tropical feel, featuring a petrified wood forest, thorn forest, and lovely sculptures. It is an ideal visit for tourists, out-of-towners, and locals. Visitors can enjoy solo walks, leisurely bird-watching hikes, and explore the multitude of birds, butterflies, and wildlife. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful, and awesome. The visitor center and gift shop are very nice. With so much to see and do, including the stunning historical buildings and the exquisite mansion, it is a truly memorable and relaxing experience that is highly recommended.
This place is absolutely amazing. A true green oasis right in the middle of the city. Went on a solo walk and tour of the mansion and explored the grounds. So relaxing and a truly memorable experience. Will definitely return.

Center for Urban Ecology building going up. Quinta Mazatlan has so much to offer thanks to Colleen Hook Director for Quinta Mazatlan and the City of McAllen. The Mansion is a historical experience. You must visit this place. The is always friendly and knowledgeable.
