I had a great experience at the Move It Storage location in McAllen, Tx (6600 N 10th Street). The property manager, Fred, showed me different sizing options & I was able to choose which one best fit my needs. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thanks, Fred!

Service is undeniably good at this location, however after a pre-paid six month period they increased their price on my unit from $98 per month to $114. Upon contacting them I learned that there may be an increase every six months to a year and that their corporate office will do nothing about this. At the end of the day, customers would be faced with moving fees again to go to another location, so in summary, it forces people to stay. I was told that this is specified in the contract which should be stipulated up front and made notable at signing as part of any good business ethic. Good business protocol is to help summarize contracts for customers to assist them in making a proper decision and not leave such important details in obscurity. Do the legwork when locking in a storage and ask questions, read the contract carefully or end up paying 28% or more than what you signed up for by years end.

Easy access, light inside with switch on the outside (on a timer so it shuts off automatically), very friendly manager, clean, good location...what's not to like?

During the pandemic, the management was extremely uncooperative and difficult to work with when our business was shut down and we were having trouble making payment. They made me feel like they didn't care about my business or understand the circumstance in which we were under. Every time I tried calling the office no one ever answers the phone and it's clear that they only care about their bottom line and not about helping your clients. I find this consistent with all move it self storage places. Avoid if it all possible.
