“Hosted a graduation party. Venue was perfect. Very elegant and beautiful I purchased the catering service turned out great. The tables looked so pretty! Definitely recommend! The kids play room with toys was perfect for the little kids and we loved that feature. Had a great time! Thanks again Greethaven Event Center.”

“My family and I visited the event center for a banquet for the Mac High Band. Shout out to the Band Instructors and the Director for an awesome year. The event center did good job in providing a smooth event. The tables were very nice with all the necessary tableware. There was a cheese spread and
crackers to snack on. The tea served was instant tea so unsweetened was not available.
The food service started shortly after announcements and introductions. The meal service started at one end of the dining room and worked its way towards us. This would probably be my only complaint, oh wait, there is another, the dinner salad lettuce being water logged ( see photos). I never get why cooks think water will preserve the lettuce and keep it from oxidation. Anyways, our meals took so long to get to us, I honestly thought that they ran out of food. When catering for large groups, multiple plating stations, the use of warmers, and lids that fit on the plates help get the food out much faster. Our table was one of the last ones served yet the food was still good and hot. The potatoes were flavorful, the chicken was also on point, tender, and served with a tasty gravy. I really couldn't taste the cheese inside. The veggies were your basic frozen California blend but seasoned, done correctly, and tasted good . There was a small dinner roll on the plate, something I'm not a fan of but somehow it worked to fill an empty spot and good for sopping gravy. Dessert was a really thin slice of cake but good. That's the beauty of sheet cakes, you can cut them into a variety of geometric shapes and achieve portions for days. We had a great time and enjoyed the night and those in attendance.”

“Great stay on multiple occasions. The staff is extremely friendly. Free laundry is a bonus. Great location close to lots of restaurants and stuff in mcallen

Rooms: Good long term stay rooms. Full size fridge. Small TV for the room size

Nearby activities: Restaurants, golf course adjacent. Very near the airport and the Plaza mall.

Walkability: Pretty walkable as far as texas goes, but not like "urban walkable"”

“Reguardless the bad experience with the hosts., i loved the place its beautiful facility and all littl girls and moms fell in love with the spa. It was my first time throwing a party there so i did not know how it was going to go about. Little tip to share ,ask for how the party will take place as in schedule ,that way if you are ordering food you know what time to order it an so you can know what time the food will be served. . I ordered pizza drom Dominos literally next door to this place. If moms from invites will be staying you might want to have drinks, food & desserts ect for them as well for the hosts. I had 5 hosts wish i would have thought about all this beforehand. Also would like to share i forgot the name of the girl in charge but the owner shows up introduces herself to me then introduces the girl in charge from the 5hosts. Owner and main host in charge amazing customer service , super friendly not only to me but to the little girls as well as they are arriving. My invites age ranged from 3-9year olds. Total of 12 girls. The other hosts not so friendly one of them rolled her eyes constantly when trying to gather the girls for the cake., or from one activity/station to another..,keep in mind its a kids setting and for them its exciting, its thrilling so ofcourse they will be loud ect. No one was actually destroying or doing any damage other than being too excited to stay quiet. Im assumming the ones rolling her eyes does not have kids., hence the easily frustrated attitude she carried throughout the whole party. Non Of them smiled at the moms as they arrived or at the little girls to make everybody feel welcomed ect thank goodness all my invites were not timid or shy and were able to enjoy the party regardless the vibes the hosts were giving. I would consider either teaching the hosts more customer service and how to be around a kids party not to mention i did over hear talking amongs themselves how they do not get paid enough so i guess if i had given a big tip to each one from the beginning maybe they would have acted differently. I love kids i work with kids myself and im always a whooe vibe ineracting with them., but i know its not for every one. As to the place it is BeAUTIFUL girls n moms still had fun !”

“It's a smaller theater, and is extremely crowded on Tuesdays. Especially when a new little kid movie comes out like super Mario! Think ahead and order your tickets online or you might end up waiting for the next movie showing available. There are many cinemarks available in the area though so you might be able to catch one there. Plan ahead!”

“We celebrated our son’s 5th birthday here and had a fantastic time! The staff was incredibly helpful, and our host, Fran, went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. The kids had an absolute blast jumping all afternoon, while the parents enjoyed the massage chairs by the game area. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly appreciate the wonderful memories we made.
