About Presidio de San Saba
Presidio de San Saba is a great stop while driving across Texas hill country. It is a nice, cute historical stop with wonderful local history to walk around and discover. The site has displays and signage providing information about the historical presidio and mission. The rebuilt remains are minimal but give a sense of what it looked like years ago. It takes about 15 to 45 minutes to explore. There is a covered pavilion with restrooms and picnic tables, including some near the river, making it a great place to stretch your legs and eat a picnic lunch. There is plenty of parking and space to explore. Visitors should stay on the trails and watch for grass burs.

I love local history. This is wonderful to walk around and read about what happened here.
Restrooms could be cleaner but still a good visit.

A walk through the remains of the fortsband the land that was fought on it gave me a sense of what it must have been like all of those years ago.

Nice historical stop. Has limited facilities. While intresting its not a large area, I would not plan to spend more than 30-45min at the location.
