“T Bar M Camps & Retreats has a family and Christian vibe to it that is not overt, lying just beneath the surface. Any guest from any spiritual or secular walk would feel comfortable here. As described in the advertisement, this is a sprawling property with loads of recreational venues and activities both indoors and outdoors. It is located within one hour from downtown San Antonio, yet feels very rural except for its closeness to Highway 46, which allowed for a bit of obtrusive traffic noise, and to a housing development.The room at the lodge looked to have been recently refreshed, featuring paint that looked newly applied, and custom fixtures in the bathroom, along with a fashionable walk-in shower with no tub. The room featured a refrigerator, but no microwave cooker and no coffee service. All buildings campus-wide were a good balance of rustic and luxury. The campus-wide Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and was stable and reliable.Beverages for a business conference were slow to be replenished for the next session, requiring participants to use the water cooler in the entrance area.The food was delicious and expertly cooked. The dining room was opened and meals served on time and in some instances, a few minutes early. The dining staff were gracious and accommodating. The manager would not accept a tip for her staff's excellent cooking and service. One of the beverages at one meal ran out and was not replaced.Four stars for T Bar M Camps & Retreats. All guests were in agreement that a return visit next year would be worth the somewhat steep admission price, which was worth every dollar.”

“I held a women's conference at The Venue and had a great experience. Dorgan and Rebecca were so attentive to everything we needed. Every time I had a question they would answer the phone or reply right back to my emails right away.The day of the event everything was set up perfectly and Dorgan was there the entire day to make sure we had everything we needed to make the day run smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a single thing.The location is also beautiful! This is a great venue and we will be holding more events here in the future.”

“We were visiting from out of town. It was a rainy day and needed a family fun activity to do. This was the perfect choice for us. We walked in and they took us right away. I do have to say they were pretty busy because of spring break, I would make a reservation in the future. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and patient. We enjoyed every moment of it. We will be back again!”

“I just recently went fishing at this spot. It was late. Nobody was there. So it was super chill . Me and my boyfriend stayed for a few hours . We seen the fog come in. It was nice. There was also 2 ducks just chilling. I tried to get a pic but all you can really see is the eyes glowing. The fog was a little thick.”

“We totally didn't find this place so headed to Gruene, which was a very cute little town with mostly shopping and a couple of resturaunts. Highly recommend the candles at the candle shop, so good!”

“My friend held her mom's Celebration of Life at this venue. Awesome spot to host an event for 100 people or so! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique local for a wedding or other special event.There is a lovely home that can be rented, which attaches to what would be the garage. Instead of a garage, there is a large open space that has plenty of room for seating, a stage, a bathroom, and a bar area with plenty of tables and chairs.The home is cozy but gorgeous, featuring a spacious open floor plan that overlooks a field with cows. This is great spot for anyone who needs to rent a venue and host out of town guests.I had a great experience at Reneau Farms. The place has good energy. My friend tells me the owners were great to work with.Five stars and two thumbs up!”

“The Comal County Country Music Show is held here monthly, and my grandson is often invited to perform. The folks who administer and operate the program, as well as those who regularly attend are warm, friendly, and enthusiastic about there old country music. We always enjoy going.”

“We booked tours with Sarah Boyd. She is absolutely AMAZING!! She showed us 3 different locations and we ended up choosing the last one. She was so kind and knowledgeable about each venue and you could tell she truly cared. I really hope she will be there on our wedding day 10/26/24. I couldn’t imagine the day without her. Her smile is contagious and I feel like I can be completely myself around her(: Walters Wedding estates got very lucky and should feel so blessed to have Sarah as an employee.”

“Great place to take the kiddos either for parties or just a treat. The arcade games entertain the kids and the pizza is surprisingly good for the parents. I had the wings also while I was there. They were supposed to be buffalo style but there was no sauce on them. But they were surprisingly moist and tasty without the sauce. The staff was exceptional and helpful. My grandkids would probably pick this place to go again if given a choice.”

“Family friendly bar with live music. Drink are top notch. They have all kinds of games to entertain yourself or the kids. Pool table, darts, dominoes, cards, corn hole Jenga to name a few. Music was local but it was good. It's a must see.”

“Our daughter had her wedding at Gruene Estate on 10/27/2022. We highly recommended Gruene Estate for a wedding or really any special event!From the moment we toured the venue to the day of the wedding Melinde was nothing short of amazing! She responded to numerous questions and made very helpful recommendations! We had booked a DJ who stopped responding 3 weeks before the wedding. Melinde made super helpful recommendations for a new DJ. Luckily he was available and did an outstanding job! We danced all night long!The venue itself is beautiful! The outdoor chapel with stained glass windows is a perfect setting! The longhorns and horses add to this! Guests enjoyed the outdoor games also! We chose to book the houses for the night which was perfect. My husband made carne guisada and invited the wedding party and family to stay after for a snack before heading home. The bride and groom stayed in the groom's house for the night too!Family and friends still tell us how wonderful the wedding was and Gruene Estate has everything to do with this! You cannot go wrong with this venue!!Happy wedding planning!!”

“I give this place 4 stars because it’s so fun doing the obstacle courses, playing in the ball pit, jumping on the long trampolines and the small ones, the wipe out, zip line, rock-wall, and snack station. I would’ve given this place 5 stars but the workers don’t do anything about the baby’s jumping on the trampolines when the other people are waiting in line and on the super bouncy trampolines, they covered the part that you can jump onto something and jump off.”
