Market Basket is a full store with friendly and nice staff. The place is clean. It is preferred over other area stores. They cook great hot meals on site, with an amazing deli side perfect for a fast, affordable lunch. The meat selection is on point. They carry unique items like Dougets roux for gumbo and little pork things wrapped in bacon, which are cheaper with a discount card. They also have a favorite Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream and beautiful floral arrangements. Additional services include buying fishing licenses and paying utility bills, likely through Western Union. Prices can be higher on some things.
For me this place is nostalgic. I remember riding on the bottom of the carts when I was a child in the 90's to go grocery shopping. It was fun to walk down aisles that I haven't seen in so many years.
