I bought a gun for my wife before with my card but the lady at the counter said she cant due to we dont have the same last name. And she gave us along with another customer an attitude but I believe its because we were hispanic and didn’t want us to buy the firearm. Along with making a false statement saying pawn shops and other gun places don’t allow that when i had bought my wife an ar from a different place with my card. There ammo is also more expensive there 5.56 500rd box is 333$ and you can get the same at academy for 290$.

On the hunt for a cc piece, I know what I want so I stopped to have a look at their inventory. It was 9:53am, door was unlocked so I assumed it was open for business. I entered through the unlocked door and unlocked iron gate. I was promptly reprimanded that the store did not open for 7 minutes. Rude bixxh! They have survived this far without my business; so be it. Continue on. I won’t be back.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. They have a few firearms that big box stores don't carry.
I will say there's a location in north Houston that is a bit bigger.
If you're serious about a purchase, they will get it for you.
Happy with my experience and trust these guys.

Carter's Country Pasadena has a wide selection of firearms and ammo at reasonable prices. Their gunsmith service is top notch whether intense cleaning or repair. Highly recommended.

Horrible service!!! They told me they were going to hold a gun I wanted until my new license came into the mail..... came in the store today to pick it up!!! It's gone!!!! Will never buy from this store!!!! Horrible business practice! I suggest a different store if you want good customer service.... my gf and I will just buy from academy to get all our future guns and ammunition!!!! Look at all the spam reviews!!! The real reviews show horrible customer service!!!! If this many people for years keeps rating this 1 star for horrible service I would look into getting new employees

I went in as a new weapon buyer purely of research i did online, spoke with this gentlemen, who walked me through the process of how to obtain a firearm. It was a speedy and simple process, very economic as well.

I walked in as a new gun owner. I was walk-through my selections and asked multiple times if I needed help, which was very useful. It being my first time it was a little intimidating, but they made me feel at home by answering all my questions and being very respectful and nice, the weapons are at fair price. I feel like I learned a lot. This place has a lot of value.
