They need better staffing to give accurate information to their customers. My friend rented a truck from them and was already charged $251 which was paid upfront to drive the truck. Brought it back and the lady that checks in the rentals told him he owed $397. Which was a lie! Don’t give people mixed up information. He came back and told me and I went up to the lady and asked her again how much was owed and let her know he already paid $251 before they gave him the truck. She said $400. NO LADY HE DOES NOT. What is the difference between what was already paid and what’s owed upon return. She said well we send back the $251 and then we attempt to take it off again after the funds are released back to the bank. UMMM NO ONCE AGAIN what is owed because that’s stupid why would you refund the money he already paid and then try to take it back off instead of just clearing the amount already paid and then telling the customer what is owed if anything. My friend thought he owed a total of almost $600 which he did not. After all that running around the remaining balance topic she finally said $140. OKAY THEN TELL HIM THAT because they make it clear to put the truck back on whatever it was on at the time of rental in the agreement but when the truck is brought back like it never left the U-Haul place you want to give wrong information and have someone who just rented from you confused and stressed out for no reason. Then on top of that while she was talking to us, she called herself cleaning the truck when I saw her spray two things on the inside and then drove the truck around. Lady checking in and detailing the inside of the truck means you wipe down more than just the doorknob and driver side seat. Someone could have been sick in that truck and your so called cleaning just spreading germs not killing them. She was more worried about getting unnecessary funds that wasn’t accurate out of my friend then making sure the next person who rented the truck didn’t get COVID or something else that might be laying dormant inside the truck. His first time renting from a u haul place in Plano and he said he will go back to Garland if there is ever a need for another u haul. Anybody that rents from here please do your own cleaning on the inside to ensure you are safe because they seriously lack any sense whatsoever of safety when it comes to potential customers. Maybe it was air fresheners she sprayed idk but it wasn’t a thorough inspection and cleaning like majority of the u haul places do.

As soon as we pulled out of the Uhaul facility and got onto the main road the trailer came unhitched and the tongue ended up under my SUV, missing my rear-end by less than an inch. Fortunately another Uhaul employee, Chao, saw this happen and he came across the street to help and another man, from another business that saw ot happen. Came across the street to help put the trailer back on. Then another incident happened as well, the chains kept coming off on the right side, so we'd have to stop, we could hear them dragging, and reconnect the chains. When I took the trailer back I told the attendant about it and he looked at them and apparently there was not rubber or metal lock that was supposed to be there. The left side one was very worn and the right side was nonexistent.
I rent uhauls all the time so I can transport my antique furniture, I have rented Uhauls over approximately 55 times and never had issues like this. This is by far the worst Uhaul equipment place I've rented from. I normally rent from Uhaul off of 121 and they're equipment is in top shape and the customer service is exceptional. The only reason I rented from this one...we'll I needed a small trailer. Never needed one this small. And the Uhaul on 121 was out of them. This was a very bad experience, I'll never rent from this location again.

I originally asked for this location. 2 days before pickup, uhaul changed pickup location to 412 N Central Expressway Richardson, TX. We were give an OLD truck because the "good one" was blocked in by other uhauls and staff didn't want to get it out. They made us drive over a curb to get onto the street. The truck's AC stopped working AFTER we had loaded it. When I called in to notify uhaul, they couldn't decide whether to call roadside assistance or not. I requested to trade the truck for a working one at another location. A couple of hours later, we were sent to the originally requested location and had to transfer our load to another truck. Also, the car transport we picked up at 412 N Central expressway had 2 flat tires and we also had to go to another location to pick up a different one. These two pieces of broken equipment that we were issued caused us to push back out trip by a whole day and caused several issues - including hotel bookings that we did not make. I asked for customer service to reach out to me, but that didn't happen either.

Would give 0 if I could.
Pre booked 2 empty u boxes for us to fill and ship weeks in advance. Showed up on the day to be turned away and told our boxes weren't there.
Do not go here. They won't help atall we almost had to throw away all our belongings. Carrollton location staff are the real MVPs and saved the day.

Such poor customer service. People were waiting in line for help, and instead they were counting change for a customer who already left and told them to keep the change! 80 cents. Something that could have VERY easily been done AFTER helping customer waiting in line. Waited 20 minutes after I was supposed to have left with my reservation. Highly advise getting priorities in order.

Well well pleasantly surprised after having a horrible experience at U Haul Plano on Los Rios, rd. This office/ site is a blessing. Friendly staff helpful within 30 min we were ready to leave. All paperwork done truck and dolly brought to front door. Excellent service I could not recommend them more. For all your towing and moving needs go visit the U haul branch on W Plano Parkway. They get a 10/10 from us.

I offered to help out my friend by paying around $400 for her rental truck, which included around $70 that she already owed and around $288 for one week’s rental. I never signed anything and I never received any invoices or receipts. They ended up charging over $1600 on my credit card. I disputed it, but didn’t have any evidence to prove what I had agreed on paying for. Now I’m going to have to get my attorney involved and pursue it in a legal direction. Don’t use this place!

Bad staff. Can to pick up a truck wasted my time. Waited for almost one hour. Staff are busy in ordering there food rather than handling customer. Very poor service. Filled my details for two times but failed to submit them.Waited for too long filled our reservation twice just to walk back due to there negligence.

Returned truck late night 10:30 pm April 8, forgot left my prescription sunglasses Oakley brand priced $550 in the cup holder, call first thing in the morning to The U-haul center and was told by Kathie that she saw the glasses in the morning but now they disappeared, that they throw away things they find inside the trucks and that they don’t have a Lost and Found policy in place. Very disappointed. I told her that definitely those glasses were STOLEN by her personnel if she saw them early in the morning and then disappeared.
