Been a member for 26 years! They lost my business for sure. The representatives are rude and so are the supervisors. I had a fraud charge and they looked up the business and saw it was permanently closed and 30 miles away from me. Information they provided and then turned around and said the charge was valid when it wasn’t. I would ask them to do better but they won’t. The homeowners insurance is just as bad doubled in 2 years. Finally went with someone else *Allstate and they were half as much and so much more professional.

USAA 30 years ago was a good company. I’ve been a member for 30 years and then experienced great identity theft that was USAA‘s fault because they can’t afford to put into any money into their security and fraud department. They treated me like the criminal but I finally got all my funds back and severed all my ties from USAA used to be a good company but now if you do a little research it, has rated very poorly from the banking standpoint

37 year member, never disappointed until now. The incompetent manner in the handling of simply setting up an account for an estate has taken over a month. The last straw was informing me a new copy of a scanned court document wasn’t readable. They’ve had it for over a month and now they tell me!!!! That is very poor performance. Submitted a formal complaint and am awaiting a response.

We chose two contractor's on the USAA approved list. To remediate a slab leak. One walked off the job and the other did sub par work.
Specialty Contractors in Dallas, Freddie Was Our Project Manager – Poor Quality, Zero Accountability
We hired this company for a full remodel after a slab leak, and it turned out to be a disaster. Freddie was our project manager and did nothing to supervise the work. We have a door camera and confirmed he never came by to inspect the flooring, electrical, plumbing, or paint. We had to demand that the unlicensed plumber seal and shim the toilet. We are having to pay someone else to fix all this.
What we’re left with:
• Flooring with gaps and uneven installation (see photo)
• Unlevel stove (confirmed with a level tool – see photo)
• Shorted-out ceiling fan
• A visible hole in the ceiling
• Broken blinds never replaced
• Sloppy recessed lighting install in our ceiling (photo included)
Freddie, Derrick, Jessie, and David gaslit us when we brought up issues and constantly passed blame. There was no follow-up, no final walkthrough, no supervision — just a revolving door of subs doing rushed, uninspected work.
The only subcontractor who did a decent job was the painting crew (HDZ). But the rest of the work? Sloppy, careless, and inexcusable.
We paid through USAA, and as a veteran, I’m disgusted by how this company treats military families. They should not be on any insurance-approved contractor list — especially not with USAA.
If you’re a homeowner or veteran dealing with a slab leak or insurance claim, please take this as a warning. I would never hire this company again. Was Our Project Manager – Poor Quality, Zero Accountability

they sure got a record of not believing the people, worst company ever. tried to make a claim that was clearly the drivers fault and they proceeded to tell me i was simply overreacting. if that driver had no been driving reckless i would have been completely fine.

This is absolutely on of the worst insurance companies out there, our house flooded, and USAA showed up 4 days later. They did not approve of the mitigation company we used due to them arriving 4 days later and stiffed us on the bill. The communication was poor; we were passed off through different adjusters, none of them communicating with us to verify and processes or steps that needed to be done, absolute crooks!

I've been a member for 23 years and this bank has become so bad since 2020 (hmm wonder why)..anyways customer service sucks, products suck and just overall experience sucks. If it weren't such a PITA to move everything I would have been gone years ago..figure out why it's been bad since 2020 yet?

My neighbor has USAA. His trampoline flew over my fence damaging it, hit my gutter, and then crashed into my pool equipment costing me $2200. I fixed the fence myself and didn’t claim the gutter. They denied the claim and I’m left paying for the pool equipment repairs myself. 0 compassion and 0 reimbursement.

Everypne apologizes and says thank u for your service but never know how to do anything. They allow thieves to do anything in your account but will not do any kind of proactive defense even when warned. Just shuffle from department to department. Pathetic.

Extremely frustrating!! They always say they are there for the veterans but it seems they are only there to screw them over.. I recently added my son to my policy (he’s a teenager so I knew it would go up but never expected it to go up $800) so I asked if I can just leave him as licensed driver and they said it would make the policy go up even more??? Wait let me get this straight, he was already on the account and we dedicated a vehicle to him and it went up but if we undedicate the vehicle it goes up again??
You’ve got to be kidding me? I ask to speak to a manager and of course the eternal hold comes in to play!!
Now they want me to leave a survey

I had a call with another bank. The CSR was unhelpful and extremely rude. The experience made me more grateful to have USAA as our bank. Every CSR we've interacted with has been polite, professional, and capable.
