“This Dollar General sits in a warehouse-like building and it's basically a store that you can find almost anything you need from pet food to laundry detergent and of course those beach necessities. they have 16 doors of frozen items and 17 doors of refrigerated food. Four of those refrigerator doors are dedicated towards cold beer, however, none of it is craft beer. Other things you'll find here include bakeware, greeting cards, lightbulbs, cosmetics, bread, diapers, garden hoses, craft items, candles, shamoo, charcoal, ice, insecticide, wine and soft drinks. Their prices are definitely better than those convenient stores that you find closer to the beach. It's also one of the better merchandised Dollar General's that I've seen. If you're in Port Aransas, this a good place to resupply your needs. The pictures add more to the story.”

“I really love this store .. they have everything you need while on vacation and it's always stocked full. I really wish this store was in my hometown. HEB is good but I'm tired of them pushing their brands down my throat and not giving me the name brand choices like this place. I may be a bit different but I will pay the $ difference for the better item. Please don't let HEB on the island”

“Good selection of food; helpful staff...March, 2023 VisitFor spring break we visited Corpus Christi, to enjoy a bit of sun and relaxation, and we enjoyed the trip.This trip we stayed in a TownePlace suite, with a mini kitchen that has an oven, so we made dinner ourselves each night.We visited this HEB as it was on the way back from the beach... this is the grocery store in Port Aransas on the mainland (not on Mustang Island)... we visited on Pi day, 3.14 / 3/14 / March 14. And, like so many grocery stores now a days, they had pie specials... - $3.14 for two slices (mix n match flavors)- $3.14 for a half pie (same flavor)- $3.14 off a full pieWe got a couple slices and some chicken which we grilled back at the restaurant.A clean store.Great food selection.Great staff... especially the nice lady keeping the pi / pie table filled - thank you!---------------”

“Great place and wonderful people. I wish the store would expand or go to two stores and add a lot more of what HEB has to offer. gets a bit frustrating when u have to drive another 30 or 45 minutes away just to get a better cut product or better variety. Also it's cray to have such fresh seafood and shrimp oysters crab blocks away and not have a fresh seafood section in the Aransas pass HEB”

“Who doesn't love Dollar general I mean they have just about everything like things from kitchen to the bathroom to the bedroom to the living room even a variety of cloths, accessories for your phone, makeup, and also they have phone like literally phones like to talk on lol also beauty supplies hair supplies and yard stuff..ok i think you get the idea ?”

“Ordered a cake and paid for it online. Went to pick it up on the date they said it would be ready and they said the cake maker had to leave on a family emergency so the cake didn't get made. But the Bakery manager Laura in Aransas Pass, TX let me pick out a cake and she paid for it. She is truly a kind soul and did everything she could to help me out. Walmart is lucky to have someone like her.”

“I just really want to give a shout out to the whole crew who was working today at the Dollar general on April 2nd 2023. From the store manager to the other two guys that were there and they were willing to help me return an item that I had purchased out of town and I didn't need anymore because I was able to make it home they went above and beyond to help me and trying to figure out a way that I could return the item especially since I had purchased it on self checkout when the people in Ingleside have only had self checkout for a couple of weeks it was a learning curve for everybody and they still all took the time out of their day even though I was holding up everything they were still able to assist other customers while assisting me and trying to figure out how I could do a return on my item so I am thankful from the bottom of my heart because I have had horrible experiences with Dollar general in the past and not at this store in particular just other Dollar generals but this one is great I really recommend it for anybody The people are great and helpful And I am forever thankful.”
