319 Beach St, Port AransasWhile visiting Port A it started raining very heavy and our Australian shepherd slid off the golf cart and got hurt. We managed to find this place with a strangers help and they were about to close. We were so very grateful they were kind enough to stay open for us and take their time. Dr David was very honest and kind. Our baby was in great hands and came out very well despite some road rash, she was running around in no time. This review is overdue as I tried to submit it over a month or 2 ago and it didn’t go through. Great little place to take your fur babies.

Island Bakery
200 W Avenue G, Port AransasSince Google won't adjust the menus on this page I will set the record straight. This restaurant at one time had a very full lunch menu with too many options. I personal dont know how the owner's maintained such a diverse menu that it had. They now are considered mainly a delicious bakery with a few lunch items. No breakfast Tacos. Their most popular and also delicious is what's called a croffin, which is half crossiant and half muffin that taste like a light and fluffy cinnamon roll! Divine!!! You would have to purchase this early as sells out first. We ate the chocolate-filled crossiant and that very good as well. We especially enjoyed the ham and cheese kolache. Can't go wrong with anything. For lunch we went back and had the fried rice with veggies and chicken that has many sauces to choose from to enhance. I love all the comfy couches to enjoy their coffee and pastries. There is also a nice outdoor area to enjoy. The chef went to culinary school and it shows in all their food. His wife is his partner in running the bakery and both are very nice. I believe in supporting small businesses that serve up good quality food. We will back on our next trip to beautiful Port A!
