Grocery Stores in Rankin, TX

“I’ve been in Rankin, Texas for about two weeks now, and in a small town of around 800 people, you don’t always expect to find something truly special, but this place is exactly that.

This little drive-thru grocery has been serving the community for 46 years, started by Ms. Lori’s parents and now run by her. From the moment I walked in, I could feel something different. Ms. Lori is one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve met. You can tell immediately that what she does isn’t driven by money, it’s driven by love and a desire to serve the people in this town.

The store itself is unlike any grocery you’ll find. It’s not about maximizing profit or stocking only what sells fastest. It’s about providing what people actually need. The prices are incredibly fair, honestly better than you’d expect anywhere, especially in a small town.

One of the most thoughtful things she’s created is a request board for the community. People in town can write down what they need, and she goes out of her way to order those items specifically for them. That kind of care and attention to individuals is something you just don’t see anymore.

What stood out to me the most was when she showed me a freezer full of meat she sources from local ranchers, and she sells it at the same price she buys it. That’s almost unheard of. It says everything about her heart and the purpose behind what she’s doing.

This place isn’t just a store, it’s a reflection of service, care, and community. If you’re ever in Rankin, stop by. You’ll leave with more than just groceries.

Thank you, Ms. Lori, for what you do for this town.”
