Slow wifi( forget YouTube, even outlook would reload with latest emails)
The water from the shower would suddenly turn cold in the middle of the shower and would take 5 mins to become hot again.
Asked for laundry bag and was told to come to the front desk to collect instead of someone delivering it at the room.
Spacious room and good location

Great base for a group event we had. Nice room, comfortable bed!
Really nice courtyard area out front and good restaurants adjacent.

The stay was not comfortable. I stayed for two nights and had a double queen bed room. On the first night I got there late and only noticed how dim the room was. The second night I went to go sleep on the second queen bed and it was lumpy. As I was working at the desk I noticed roach crawling by my cup. It was disgusting. I would have asked for a new room but it was very late at night, around 3am in the morning. I told the manager about this and he offered me points… I didn’t think that was very accommodating, so he offered to take $25 dollars off. That was a slap in the face. This Aloft location is not a good representation of Marriott. The only thing I liked was the location.

What is really the measure of a place is how they handle situations that go wrong and I was very displeased with the staff's handling of a hiccup. I was in town for a conference and per the conference's website, Aloft was offering shuttle services to and from the event throughout the day. I asked the hotel about the return shuttle before I left and they said "just give us a call." When I followed their instructions and called, Aloft's front desk person said they were not going to do multiple runs to the event which is less that ten minutes away. When I asked them to honor what they told me before I left, it was a problem and I had to talk to the manager who was not the most compassionate. Apparently, the hotel and conference did not communicate what was to be offered to their clients clearly, and they took that miscommunication out on the guest, which tainted my experience with this hotel. And the manager would cut me off when I was explaining my grievance, which is just not good hospitality. Cool looking place, but I'm not crazy about the staff.

Very colorful and welcoming. Clean rooms. Pro staff. Sheets smelled like they actually use scented fabric softener. Nice stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great for our needs. Room was comfortable, but lacked many things. No microwave in the room. Lightning is lacking. Nice view.
Rooms: Minimal on everything. Space, towels, water pressure and hot water.
Food and drinks: When you go to the bar for a cocktail, Charlie is the best!

Location is the best part of this hotel. Perfectly situation by green space and a beautiful plaza that's well lit at night, breezy, and safe. Great eateries all within walking distance of the hotel too that offer a great selection of food varieties.
I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

I stayed at the Aloft for 2 miserable nights, during July, for a company event. Before we checked in, the hotel knew they had a serious problem of no cold water in most of the rooms, only boiling water. They deceived us, telling us the problem was solved, and checked us all in. One by one(we were over 30 rooms!), we discovered the problem was actually not fixed, and the hotel kept checking people in, including more people from our company who arrived a day later. The receptionist was helpless, told us to call and write to his manager, and while we did,she just replied back she is doing everything she can to resolve it. In fact, nothing was done, the hotel didn't offer us any solution, kept checking guests in. Eventually we had to checkout and leave to another hotel. By the way,the hotel didn't offer us any assistance in finding new accomodations although they are part of Marriott group, and you would have thought they can be more resourceful.
Not to mention they charged us all for the miserable nights we stayed there, without any ability to shower due to boiling water coming out of the faucets and shower.
I'm a member of Marriott for many years, such a disgrace level of service was a true surprise. Needless to say, as a company,we will never book any of further stays with the Aloft.

Very nice place. The rooms are spacious, updated, loved the walk in shower, and the bar downstairs had some great drinks specials and live music one night. I got the package with breakfast and the OG Breakfast sandwich was really good. I tried some other items, but the sandwich was the best. Pool table and shuffleboard in the bar.
Rooms: Rooms were spacious and updated. The master switch for the room was a great! Tired everything off on the way out and back on when you return. Plugs in the bedside table (only one between the beds, only drawback) I got the room with the courtyard view. Really nice.
Walkability: Lots of dinner and drinks options right on the block.

Great location, I have a nice stay here every time! Many restaurants within walking distance. Pool is cozy so if you are coming specifically for that you might want to know it’s very tiny.

I’m giving a 4 star because I know how detrimental a 4 star review can impact a business. However, I initially wanted to rate 2 or 3. To start the location was phenomenal. I was lucky enough to get parking right next to the lobby door. It was huge. The bar was fantastic. There were plenty of restaurants on the same block. The staff was very helpful and understanding.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights total. I never got a hot shower while I was there. I complained and asked for help, They did not offer to switch rooms. The shower was very very cold. Maintenance came and could not figure it out. I complained each day and each night, The issue was not resolved.
They Beds and pillows We’re very comfortable. Top Rated compared to other Marriott locations I have to visited recently throughout Texas.
There was no lighting in the actual room just a small lamp.
The breakfast was delicious.
The hallways were hot and not air-conditioned.
The pool was also tiny for a hotel that had nine floors. Max 6 occupants

I was not impressed! My check-in time was 3pm; I checked in at 4:15pm and my room wasn't ready for me to check-in.
The room felt dirty. I had a wash rag that had stains on it, the water pressure for taking a shower was extremely low, no hot water (only warm), the sink had something in the drainage (look like mucus), etc..
I won't be staying here again!

This hotel does not have functional plumbing. I was told before we booked our stay that the issue had been addressed but this was not the case. Burning hot water the first night, normal the 2nd and ice cold the 3rd. Mgmt could have easily taken steps to make this right but did not, at least in my case. It was in a nice, walkable area.

Very clean and great costumer service. We checked in late, past midnight, on a roadtrip and we were greeted as if it was midday. Truly appreciated the stay!
