They try really hard to find something that will work if they do not have what you ordered. They don't seem to have as many organic selections as before, and there aren't as many brand choices. They mostly have their own brand.

Ok I've been living in this area for the past 5yrs and going to this location. I usually just go in and out, just handle business. The times I've been hear I always have horrible customer service in these following department and it's always the manager:CosmeticFloralThe manager never acknowledges you in any way, not even a simple hi or nod, just stares and when I ask a question they feel bothered. So today I just went in and expect what I usually expect but I bought some Flowers and it rotten. I guess because of this I just went on a rant.

I always loved H‑E‑B cakes but today I had quite the experience in the Bakery department. They asked me if I wanted a name on the cake, I said yes but when the cake came back it looked a bit sloppy! My down syndrome sister kept saying her name is spelled wrong at her birthday party today…

By far my favorite location. The Cleanest, well stocked, fresh produced, largest fresh tortilla area (butter tortillas ?) always have a full staff, nice staff, plenty of open registers, and self checkout. The layout is nice and doesn't feel jumbled. It's the LARGEST location I've been to without it being a "Plus". (I'm also from OR and moved here in 2022) H.E.B is my favorite place besides Bucees. (Can you tell I'm not a true Texan??♀️?♀️) The birthday cakes are also amazing. I had a couple of custom cakes, and every inch was eaten every time. The blueberry pies are amazing, and we always get sushi to eat on the way home. Their premise meals by the sushi are also amazing for meal prep but can get pricey. Look out for those yellow hanging coupons! The HEB brand cola tastes better than coke and has less sugar. We prefer the HEB brand foods over other brands. They are more cost efficient and even taste BETTER! The ingredients are better, too. Some still have GMO tho.

I love HEB but their prices are outrageous and I cannot afford to buy groceries here solely like we used to three years ago. I realize a lot has changed and inflation is a real thing, but until the price comes back down again, I cannot afford to spend about $300+ each time, twice a month, for my family. Purchasing the exact same items I used to is costing me between $150 to $200 more today than it used to. This is killing our budget.

They have such a great variety of produce but I will admit this time I went I was looking for eggs and I checked inside the cartons to make sure they’re good and in 2 of them I found mold. I looked for another carton literally 2 eggs were missing. When we went to checkout the bagger was so rude. He was trying to find the barcode for a box that I had I found it and told him where it was and he said with an attitude “I know.” I know for sure that HEB wouldn’t like that their employees were disrespectful. I was simply trying to help him out. I wasn’t out of line. I get its a busy day but don’t be rude to me. Also, I was shopping with my mother and she was asking about how to apply my phone number and I didn’t know either. The cashier was rude to my mother and my mom and I were simply curious. We figured out the situation and I got my discount from the app. I’ve worked in a grocery store as a cashier and have dealt with horrible customers and still put a nice attitude. Will not be coming back to this HEB. Might go to another one further cause people that are paid to be nice don’t deserve any amount of my money towards their paycheck.

I am giving 3 stars because when I compare this location to the other HEB locations, this store falls short in the aspect of variety of produce to choose from. The international aisle looks like something suffering from malnutrition. The items are either out of stock with empty spaces starring at you in the face. I would recommend that they learn from the Bechnut store in this regard.Update:I got some okra from this store, when I got home, I just put it in fridge hoping to cook it the following day and low, by the following day the okra was bad.I took it to the store, and the lady at the customer service desk could not apologise. She was so indifferent, and I asked her to apologize she said it was not her fault. Wow!How do you train your employees who at the end of the day, do not see themselves as a representative of HEB, is horrible. Do more trainings please.

The quality of the people shopping here brings down the experience of the store. The store was well stocked, crowded (it's Friday), found what I needed. Not the best HEB by no means. Location is hard to find (hidden), not easy to navigate parking lot with concrete curbs. Not big enough parking lot for how many people shop here.

Sold mexican rice pre cooked with sell by date a week and a half after it was made and within 2 days of purchase within sell by date it was growing mold. Google and the health department say cooked rice is good for at best 3 days after being made not 10+ days. Went to return rice and waited 20 minutes with 4 people in line at customer service as we were stuck behind someone buying 3 rounds of lotto tickets, yet nobody came to assist the 1 worker back there. Bought sushi also, very little wasabi sauce in it and it has water in it. Noticed Wholly Guacamole isn't sold in the produce section with all the HEB guag, way to push HEB brand on your customers and not give a choice of product. Gotta go to the fajita meat area for other name brand guac that lasts longer than 3 days. I honestly think this store needs better management as a whole. I'm from north Houston (north of 1960 @ 45) where HEB has higher standards. Guess I'll start shopping at Kroger out here.
