Fort Bend County Animal Services is described as a really nice place with a very friendly, helpful, caring, knowledgeable, and patient staff. They are professional and do the best they can in a difficult and tough job, protecting dogs and trying to get them adopted. The adoption process is made easy, with vaccinations and microchips provided. They take great care and concern for animals, including rescuing lost pets and offering spay and neuter services. Many note that lots of dogs need homes and encourage people to adopt from or donate to the shelter.

Found out they didn’t have spots for stray surrenders until July 2026 in September 2025! So many animals in need!

They do the best they can, given that the state doesn't not provide them with climate controlled shelters for dogs. It's a difficult job. They have to protect dogs from the wrong type of owner while also trying to get them adopted. It's a tough job, and thanks for doing your best!

We are fostering a dog and 7 puppies. They have been amazing to work with!
