Stripes in San Angelo offers a unique blend of convenience and local charm. Visitors often highlight the well-maintained grounds, including a quiet retail area with laminate flooring, and a parking lot that stands out with its rustic, charming fence overlooking a field of scrub brush and discarded car parts. The location is appreciated for its atmosphere and friendly staff, with employees like Tony and others consistently helpful and welcoming. Many customers enjoy their regular visits for coffee, especially praising the Texas Pecan Coffee for its taste. The store's environment is described as relaxing and pleasant, making it a nice spot to meet good people from the area. However, some common issues include frequent shortages of basic supplies like diet coke and straws, and malfunctioning pumps that often lack receipt paper. Despite these inconveniences, the staff's friendliness and helpfulness keep customers coming back. Overall, Stripes is seen as a friendly, clean, and convenient place to stop for a quick snack, coffee, or gas in San Angelo, with a hint of local charm and community feel.
