“This fills a niche that's hard to fill around here! The prices may seem high until you realize that a lot of it is either imports or artist prints, which are all really high quality. They also have different events and themes every month or so, and they advertise them on their Instagram. They've solved at least one at project problem for me personally. I'm not able to go a lot but I enjoy going there when I can! Highly recommend for anyone who loves kawaii and/or stationery!”

“Visiting downtown and came across the entrance to view the exhibit and other than the folks at the front desk not being too greeting to the other customers and myself, the exhibition was very interesting and very well put together. Super clean, including the restrooms. Very intimate and informative pictures of the immigrants and their journeys and struggles in the photos display. But really disappointed in the 2 employees at the entrance not being helpful in telling us the process to sign in and at least communicating to us a little of what we are walking in to. Other than that, it went well.”

I loved the well thought out exhibit - right down to the curated drinks in the beautiful and comfortable foyer/ lobby/ bar area, which was a visual treat on its own. “I only get my gems from here. 10/10 would recommend. Staff are chill, friendly, and helpful. They have sales through the year for the gifts you've been eyeing. They have decent pricing and sizes for whatever you're looking for. Anything from small and dainty, to big and beautiful. I honestly have no bad things to say about this place other than the parking. But If you're downtown or need to take the 9 /14 via bus to get here, it's worth a visit.”

“We were in town and decided to stop at Period Modern on our way home. The pictures shown on Yelp intrigued us and that proved to be an understatement. There is so much in the store; you truly need to go through two or more times to get a true feeling of the beautiful and varied inventory. The sales people will readily answer questions and not hover as you explore. We could not have been more pleased with our finds and look forward to returning soon.”

“This shop is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown San Antonio. It is located right above the Riverwalk and has a unique and gorgeous collection of glass art, ornaments, artwork, and jewelry. The owner is very nice and has an obvious passion for collecting and curating beautiful things. I picked up a couple earrings from Suzanne Schaars (Netherlands) and Sandrine Giraud (Paris) that will go with my modern, minimalist aesthetic. I will make it a point to come back every time I'm in town. Go support local!”
