The place is nice however do not expect to get complimentary breakfast that will be an extra charge. You will also have to pay separately for parking. At the time of my stay it was an additional $30 dollars. I have stayed at many hotels in San Antonio and this is by far the most irritating situation most of us want to stay somewhere nice without all the hidden fees. I understand you must pay parking in most places but at the very least include the breakfast. I’m already spending $170 a night and for the price of the parking I could stay somewhere else and pay public parking for only $10 dollars plus get complimentary breakfast. I will also add the pool was not accessible at the time of our visit.

Cheap , not even water , or cookie like other double tree hotels, noisy bathrooms door sliding door from the 1800 style, door between rooms doesn’t close all the way, carpet not clean, restaurant out of most on menu.I don’t recommend this

The hotel has an ant infestation but clearly doesn’t care. Reception was incredibly dismissive when I told them there were ants all over the bed. “That’s just Texas,” they said. Very disappointing as I’ve stayed here before and it was very comfortable, but I will not be coming back.Rooms: Beware the ants.

Rooms were nice and clean, but the breakfast was expensive! It was good, but we were charges $7.00 in gratuity and were never even checked on by the wait staff.

Very mediocre property in dire need of updating. You're really not as close to places you'd like to visit as their website would lead you to think you are, and you can be awakened at all hours by the traffic that surrounds the place.

Only thing bad was price for parking in my opinion...but room price kinda offset set that.

The check-in process was smooth and efficient. They provided clear information about incidentals and parking. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and the mattress was notably comfortable. The pillows and bed were delightful, ensuring a good night's sleep. Checking out was also a breeze! Note: Breakfast incurred a cost, but plenty of nearby dining options. Excellent staff.

Awesome hotel. Booked a Navy reunion group at hotel. Jacqui Bosworth personally saw to it that all our expectations were met or exceeded. Wil always make this Double Tree our #1 San Antonio destination.Nearby activities: Convenient to Riverwalk and Market Square.Food & drinks: Breakfast was excellent.

The agent said 2 queen beds, not two double beds. We asked for a Hilton property “downtown” and this was not actually a downtown location, close but outside the area considered, downtown. There was a couple of drops of blood on the shower curtain, but that wasn’t a big concern. The game they had by the pool makes a loud crashing to the ground sound as part of the game, it wasn’t nice to hear it early in the morning. No complementary breakfast or discounts for breakfast. Not enough carts at check out, in fact we waited over an hour and NONE showed up for use. We had to carry a family’s luggage to the car and it wasn’t the end of the world, but slightly annoying.

We were here for business as our training was directly across the street from one of the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) satellite campuses. Let me clear up a statement which this hotel promotes. They say they're near the River Walk tourist attraction. Distance wise, yes; in reality, no. It's probably 2 miles to River Walk but the location this hotel is in is somewhat "sketchy". It's not a walk many would want to make to the River Walk area. There's many more Hilton brand hotels inside the River Walk area right next to the attractions like their shopping mall, The Alamo, and the shops/restaurants along the River Walk area. This hotel also charges a $25 daily parking fee. Their buffet is NOT 7 days a week, they don't offer lunch other than Sat & Sun. They don't offer their buffet daily and it's a call they make based on their occupancy so you never know if the buffet will be available or not when you come downstairs. The electrical & USB outlets on their community table in the lobby don't all work. Our hotel room's toilet rocked side to side like one of the flange bolts had loosened or snapped. Thankfully, it was not leaking but will need to be repaired (this was room 316). We didn't receive a resort view or room upgrade despite being a Diamond member. Positives: front desk friendliness & hospitality by "Marisa" and "Regina"-both of them were excellent. Our room was clean, the mattress was comfortable & supportive, electrical/USB outlets were plentiful and working. Their restaurant chef was both welcoming and friendly. They have an excellent 8 oz NY steak and Ale special Monday nights from 4pm-10pm. Negatives: location, hotel surrounding area is somewhat sketchy. The $25 daily parking fee. The fact that their breakfast buffet is unknown whether they'll offer it, or forced to order from their made-to-order breakfast menu. If visiting San Antonio for pleasure, I'd recommend looking into hotels immediately next to the River Walk shopping/restaurant/tourist attraction area.

The room smells like feet and no good lighting. There is nothing great about this location. There is a university across the street that I thought was a correctional center. DONT EAT HERE! The food is horrible. They couldn’t even bring me tasty pancakes. The sausage tasted old and don’t get me started on the watered down scrambled eggs and nasty meat options from the buffet. I’d rather door dash McDonald’s
