The Esperanza Peace & Justice Center is a cultural arts nonprofit and a gem in San Antonio. It works to create a better world through art, dialogue, and action. The center provides an educational experience with all types of programming, including exhibitions, workshops, concerts, theater, film screenings, and its awesome annual Peace Market. It is known for its beautiful people supporting LGBTQ, women, and immigrants. The center opens its doors to many artists and the community, building solidarity among diverse groups.

Every year Thanksgiving weekend they have the Peace Market/Mercado de Paz. I've been going for years now and enjoy seeing the work of local artisans and artisans from Latin America. This year I bought crocheted flower earrings.
