“Mission Espada is one of my favorite stops among the five San Antonio missions. Unlike many historic sites that funnel you through guided tours and gift shops, the San Antonio Missions allow visitors to simply wander and take it all in at their own pace. The peaceful grounds, weathered stonework, and quiet atmosphere make it feel more authentic and personal. It’s a beautiful place to slow down, explore, and imagine the centuries of history that passed through those walls.”

“Over the past three years, our daughter has participated in First Tee’s year-round programs, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The program has opened many doors for our family to enjoy and appreciate the game of golf together.
The staff and coaches are incredible people, and everyone involved at every level of the organization is deeply committed to helping kids fall in love with the game while building confidence, character, and community. The families within the program have also been wonderfully supportive, helping guide us toward local opportunities to continue playing and growing in the sport.

“Pastor Richard is really great. You really feel welcomed when you come here. I saw in a previous review someone said it was "ghetto" but if ghetto means welcoming people in all levels of their faith, then yes, ITH is ghetto, because you can come as you are and you will be welcomed with open arms. The music is great and uplifting and will bring you to tears if you surrender your thoughts and your heart. They have classes for children and youth. If you go through life with Judging eyes you will always find something negative, but if you surrender and look at life with faith and understanding you will appreciate all that life has to offer. At ITH they offer you a new perspective on life, what you allow into your atmosphere, sometimes forcing you to look at your very own approach on life, accountability. I've been coming here for 5 years and it feels like home. There are all ages, and people in different stages of life. Come for the music stay for the word. Be Blessed in your journey”

It is recommended that you look at their website so that you can match the services you need to the ones that they’re offering in whichever location that they’re at.

“My wife and I were very pleased with the friendly, supportive staff of Davis-Scott branch of the San Antonio YMCA, and we would especially like to credit Coach Shawn Marshall for making our 11-year old son's basketball experience outstanding. Winter 2026 was the first season our son ever played on an organized basketball team. Coach Shawn knows a lot of basketball, and a lot about life. He was truly outstanding with the kids. He supported them and built them up, and also pushed them just the right amount to become better basketball players, better teammates, and most importantly- better young people. Coach Shawn Marshall personifies the YMCA mission- my wife and I are so grateful for him and his positive influence on our son.”
“Children’s Ballet of San Antonio provides such an incredible experience for young dancers. Their productions give students the opportunity to perform on major stages like the Lila Cockrell Theatre and the Majestic Theatre, giving them a real professional theater experience.

“The Coppini Academy of Fine Art is a non-profit organization that is member-run and member supported. I frequently attended open drawing sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. As far as I know, it is the only place in San Antonio , outside of the Universities and colleges , that consistently offers open drawing sessions in a professional studio, using live figure models. It even has open session for portraits on Friday mornings, using live models. Additionally it offers adult classes in oil painting, for beginners, intermediate, and more advanced painters. It has classes for children through its "Coppini Kids" program, and a "master class" in drawing for kids 11 - 17. As if this isn't enough, it offers workshops for members and the public, taught by popular and world-class artists who come in from across the country. If an artist is focused on representational art, the Coppini is a great place to investigate!”
