Fairmount Rooftop Oyster Bar is a popular spot known for its beautiful rooftop views and lively atmosphere. The rooftop has two levels, offering plenty of space to enjoy drinks and the scenic San Antonio skyline. Guests often praise the friendly and attentive bartenders, especially for their recommendations and skill in making seasonal cocktails. The cocktail selection is good, with drinks like the cucumber martini and espresso martini receiving high praise for taste and quality. Snacks and appetizers, such as ceviche with jalapenos, pineapple, and cherry tomatoes, are also well-liked and add to the overall experience. However, visitors have had some issues with the service. Reservations are not always honored as expected, and there can be confusion about open seating. At times, the restaurant and kitchen hours are not clearly communicated, leading to disappointed guests who have to leave without ordering food. Service can also be inconsistent, with reports of long waits, unhelpful staff, and situations where food delivery is delayed or mishandled. Additionally, construction work nearby can affect the ambiance, though some guests appreciated the quiet when no noise was present. Despite these issues, many still enjoy the place for its stunning views, great drinks, and good value. The decor is attractive and full of historical details, making it a memorable spot for evening drinks or casual visits. Overall, Fairmount Rooftop Oyster Bar offers a mix of excellent scenery and drinks, but service and communication could be improved for a more seamless experience.

The place is nice very plain and simple. The food is excellent. Service was slow. My food came up, went to the wrong table then sat at the bar for 5/10 minutes before anyone brought it to me. Apparently no one knew where it was supposed to go. The servers seemed very young and inexperienced.
