Mission Concepción is an amazing place, filled with wonderful people. However, currently I am relying on hope. Hope that you, or anyone, can help. On January 8, Jazlyn Arce, a 15-year-old girl, went missing nearby. She is still missing. So I am reaching out for your help. Jazlyn may be walking around Mission Concepción or in someone's car. Any information, no matter how small, can make a difference. Please visit the Amigos for Kids website to share any information you may have. I believe that Jazlyn is waiting to be found and with your help, we can make it happen.

I was at this entity covering a cross country meet from SAISD Middle Schools. It was beautiful and clean. It has a forest like scent, but that's all good for me. I plan to visit all areas around this park when I get a chance.

It was already 17:00 when we went there, and it was actually off work, but the kind staff still allowed us to go in and give us a detailed explanation. As one of several historical landmarks in San Antonio, you must come here to see it. According to the staff, this was the largest and best-preserved missionary church in the past, and there will be a double-day holy scene in the window on August 15th every year. , well worth seeing

This is a must see for anyone who loves history. Loved the wall art that has been restored and all the stone walls. Plus the Church remains in active use, when I went a quinceañera was being celebrated. So you can also see how the Mission has remained relevant to the community over the centuries. It’s also a nice walk from downtown to Mission. I just did the walk back to downtown, and you can reach the river walk in about 5 minutes and take it all the way.

Visited the mission on our quest to see all of San Antonio’s missions. It is very well preserved. There is a third generation relic from San Francisco in the church’s chapel. We saw an announcement that on Dec. 8 there was going to be mass with a Mariachi’s choir. We went back for the mass. It was indeed beautiful. There was a tribal dance that was excellent as well. December 8th also marked the 268th year of the church’s dedication in addition to the Commemoration of the Immaculate Conception. The Mass was very special. Parking is free. Plenty of parking. No fee to enter.

If you have time to see any of the four missions in San Antonio, Mission Concepcion should be on the "must see" list. These churches are still in use today and are beautifully decorated. We were lucky enough to have a descendent of the Hasinai people talk about the features of the church. Going inside will allow you to see some original painting dating back hundreds of years. The church interior is original and the location is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This beautiful mission that’s a must see if you’re in San Antonio. The tour is self guided, but nearly all area accessible. Much of the buildings and grounds are still intact and are well-maintained. There is a docking station for electric bicycles. We rode the bicycles from Mission San Jose to Mission Concepción. Several of the rooms have still have brightly painted frescoes!

This along with Mission San Jose are the two of the 4 missions closest to the heart of downtown, and I hear the two most worth visiting. Both were magnificent, but this one was smaller of the two and would be my second choice. If you were to visit one I’d suggest San Jose mission which had a visitor center on site.
