Oso CrossFit is a large, well-equipped gym with a strong sense of community and welcoming members. Visitors and drop-ins consistently feel at home in its great space, which includes a separate conditioning area and all the equipment you could ask for. The coaching is described as brilliant, with great energy, care, and engagement from the coaches who ensure everyone is warmed up and knows what to expect. Workouts are very challenging but offer scaling options for every fitness level within a typical one-hour class. The gym fosters great conversation and a high, competitive yet respectful energy among athletes. It is highly recommended as a temporary gym home or for drop-ins, with many visitors planning to return whenever they are back in town. The overall climate is one of a friendly and supportive box that makes people feel at home and even sad to leave.
Rick is an outstanding coach: encouraging, attentive, and serious about form. He pushes you when you need it but never at the expense of safety. The OSO Grit/HYROX programming is legit, and everyone in the gym brings the energy to match. Highly recommend.
