Second Chances Thrift Shop is a cute little thrift store located in an old house, packed with a good variety of everything. Shoppers can find pet supplies, kitchen appliances, electronics, knickknacks, jewelry, clothes, antiques, vintage items, kids toys, CDs, DVDs, and blu-rays. The shop is much bigger than many anticipate, with a back room primarily for women's clothing, purses, bags, and shoes. All items are well organized, labeled nicely, and fairly priced with extremely reasonable prices. There are so many good finds. The staff is super friendly, kind, welcoming, and helpful. The shop offers amenities like changing rooms and a bathroom. Donations are accepted at a dedicated drop-off area at the back of the building, with a sign posted for items they do not accept. The best part is that one hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the Helotes Humane Society animal shelter located right next door, making it a great cause to support. The shop also offers a military discount on Thursday and a senior discount on Friday. With its great prices, friendly atmosphere, and worthwhile mission, it is a shop customers definitely recommend and plan to return to.
A great thrift shop with lots of unique finds, but more importantly -- it's wonderful that the Helotes Humane Society and the pets in need are the beneficiaries. Always a pleasant experience each time I go in!

I love the staff theyre so kind and wonderful. They wrap your items with love and donate proceeds to our animal rescue services. Not to mention all the awesome finds from cookware to home decor and apparel.

Love to shop there and it all goes to a good cause. Staff is amazing and super friendly. I always find treasures.
