“Roy and his wife are amazing people and they care a lot about the shop. My son and I went in one day to look for some Pokémon card and he gave my sone some cards and some pins. He loved them so much and the only down side is he wants to go see “Mr. Roy” every day?”

Josh is incredible and makes you feel welcome and is honest about the hobby and what you need to get started. “The Otaku Cafe is, on the outside, a small, niche shop with assorted anime paraphernalia and a dark arcade hidden in the back. But it’s so, so much more than that. The crew there understands that, more than merchandise and games, their strength lies in the COMMUNITIES they foster. Yes, they offer a great value with their free-play arcade hall, but what really matters there is the people you can meet. I myself have been making the drive from Kerrville every single week for the past two years with my son and daughter to be a part of the Fighting Game Community that has made the Cafe its home, and that group has by far been the most influential, positive factor in our lives since finding it. But it’s more than just us - the Cafe has opened its doors to various fandom groups such as model builders, card game battlers, and other motley crews I’m only vaguely aware of. Fact of the matter is, this may well be the most positive and uplifting nook in all of San Antonio, where everyone is happy to be there and happy that you’re there too. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend it. The merchandise is neat, the prices are fair, the games are amazing and well maintained, and the whole place just feels like coming home. I genuinely love these people.”
“We’re so glad this shop is in our neighborhood. It has become our family’s favorite place to visit. The staff always make us feel comfortable asking questions, whether it’s about blind boxes, cards, or their other unique items. We’ve picked up everything from Pokémon cards and books to plushies and Funko Pops, and we always leave with something cool. You can tell they really know their stuff and keep things fair. We’re excited to check out a trading night soon. Overall, just a fun, welcoming spot we truly enjoy.”

“This place is wonderful!! My nephew and I stopped in today to spend his birthday money and we were met with such a welcoming HELLO. Robert and Freddie ( I hope I got their names right...) were amazing and so friendly. They have great prices and ultimately we will be back!! They also offer incentives to kids to get good grades in exchange for money off purchases!! A's only I believe but how cool is that?! My nephew says its a 10 out of 10!! Thank you for making my nephew's birthday weekend a success!!”
“Oh my this place is busy! The week before school is starting and Tom's of people and kids in the store. But the staff was on top of it and the lines were reasonable. Even though there were people all around, the cashier never seemed rushed with us.”

My sister bought tons of craft supplies and some candy.
And my youngest niece bought toys and a full-size tennis ball.

“We came to Trader's Village today just to come to the ducky store. My daughter (21) has been collecting ducks since she was five. They have a huge selection of duckies and many of them are only $1. The store has many duckies that my daughter had never seen before. There are some more expensive ones that are larger and more intricate. They sell sets of ducks as well. It costs $6 to park at Trader's Village. The store charges $1 for credit cards. We will come back before Christmas to stock up on gifts”

“We came across this place by being invited to a birthday party here! It really was a great time! The kids got to make cars and race them and then make little figurines. It was so much fun for my 6 year old. The store also has Lego's already built or in box to buy. The staff was beyond helpful and they each engaged with the kids at the birthday party. If a child needed assistance they were willing to help them pick out clothes for their little Lego men and women . If your child likes Legos this is the place to have a birthday party or even to come check out.”
“Ollie’s is like a treasure hunt run by chaos. You go in for paper towels and leave with a rug, snacks from 2009, and a deal you didn’t know you needed. Messy aisles, weird finds, stupid cheap prices. Go in patient, leave winning.”
