About Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Marcos
Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Marcos offers a convenient location between Texas State University and nearby wedding venues. Guests appreciate the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The hotel features updated decor, with some rooms including a pull-out couch. Many reviews highlight the easy check-in process and the presence of terrific restaurants nearby. The soft and fluffy towels add a nice touch. Overall, visitors find the hotel to exceed expectations, especially for its price, making it a preferred choice for future stays.
The rooms are okay, but it doesn't feel like a clean place. Beds are questionable. TVs are old, pool is not very clean, it doesn't have laundry facilities like it says online and there's never anyone in the office. I didn't see any bugs in the room like other people claimed and the freeway noise was minimal.
