“It’s is amazing fresh meat!! Be warned once you go you will not want to cook with any grocery store meat EVER again including whole food. Price is competitive and even better compared to some places. Just wish there was delivery lol.”
“This is probably the cleanest most organized michoacana I've been to. Everything looks neat and it's fully stocked. The meat and produce are fresh too!”
“It’s going to be very hard to find a Hispanic (mainly of Mexican descent) in Houston that does not know “La Michoacana Meat Market” … “La de las carnes marinadas” This grocery chain of 135 or so locations is well-established all over Texas and parts of Oklahoma. Fresh produce (some stores have better selection than others) and marinated beef cuts ready for grilling are their speciality. The prepared-dish section includes Mexican staples such as arroz rojo, guisado de res, menudo, Nopalitos, and other delicacies; all followed and beloved by the blue-collar crowd, as well as by the office workers. Some say that there are more nutrients and substance in a couple of Tacos al Pastor from La Michoacana than a burger from the big chains. And tacos are less expensive. Photos to follow”
“We like this store in Conroe 105 but we are calling for a bag that was left at the cashier but the phone does not get answered, I wonder if there is another number we can call?”
“Small Mexican grocery but has all the necessities every household needs. It has a Yaqueria which serves tacos, menudos, combo meals gorditas and family Pollo meals with drinks for a reasonable price.”
“If you’re cruising up I-45 north of Houston near The Woodlands and your stomach starts rumbling, do yourself a favor and stop by Hebert’s Meat Market. This place is a little slice of Cajun heaven, packed with all sorts of exotic and traditional Louisiana goodies. Whether you’re after their famous boudin sausage, crave some spicy Cajun specialties, or want to try one of their legendary stuffed chickens, you’re in for a treat. The variety is impressive—think stuffed meats, sausages, and plenty of unique finds you won’t see at your average grocery store.
The shop itself is spotless, with a clean and easy-to-navigate parking lot in a nice, safe area. The staff are genuinely friendly and happy to help you pick out something special or answer any questions you might have. One pro tip: bring an ice chest or cooler with you! Almost everything at Hebert’s is kept cold and you’ll want to keep your treasures chilled on the way home, especially in that Texas heat.
So, next time you’re in the area, swing by Hebert’s and treat yourself. Your taste buds will thank you—and so will your friends if you share! After all, good food is meant for good company. As they say in Cajun country: “Laissez les bon temps rouler!” (Let the good times roll!)”
