“This Place (Smithville Storage) surprised the heck out of me. When I first drove by the storage units and the appearance of the facility looked avg. one might assume, after waiting until the last minute I finally met with the owner to check out what they had to offer and (the big question) how much they did charge. I don't know about ya'll but I've paid some hefty prices for some tiny units. For example in Austin 5x7 cost me $150, after which i needed more space so i moved my stuff to Bastrop and thought i got a good deal paying $195 monthly for a 10x10. Anyway I'll try to wrap this up quick but the hard working Middle class folk need to know there's still some good people out there with some fair rates.I made the mistake last time not to call them just because there was'nt an office on site. What I didn't know was all that office, security gates, employees, lawn care, and phone lines drove the price up.So I called Smithville Storage after finding then with a 5 star ranking on Google. After 2 rings a real live a human answered and told me he would be right there and asked if i mind waiting about 2 min. I said sure thinking he was gonna put me on hold but less than two min later a SUV pulls up. Out Hops a gentleman who introduced himself as Doug. Come to find out is the (owner/operator/janitor/lawn care, and security guard) all in one. So he gives me the tour and while we walked the facilty I noticed it was getting dark as i mentioned it to Doug he said no worries, just about that time we passed another camera only not as soon as we got with'en 30 ft of it not only did it record but it illuminated the area you were walking in and this place was covered with them. After seeing this and noticing how clean the place had become what he did and said next will make me a Smithville Storage Fan and business partner for life. He opens this door which looks like a one car garage door and inside was 12x20 unit that was bigger than half the apartments i had lived in in my younger days. Next Doug said Its all yours for $90 bucks a month !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DEAL :) Thanks Doug. It takes a real Man (or Woman) to keep it REAL in such trying time. Most business owners these days are concerned with 2 things. (Massive Profits and Power). Speaking from as a business owner myself I believe those 2 things lead to a short life due to stress and a greed which develops from these material things they get from that allmighty dollar leading to the loss of the only thing worth anything now days(time).I myself tend to lean Love & Loyalty. 2 traits I strongly believe Smithville Storage still holds on to tight as well .Sincerely,C.M.D.- T.M.”
