“I moved to the area many months ago from Houston, mecca of all things thrift and resale. Admittedly, i am a thrift addict. Oddly, i filed the location of Silk Purse in the back of my mind with no real pull to stop in sometime. I think it was the name. Silk Purse=Fancy Girly. One bored Saturday, I was like, meh, may as well pop in just to see. What a pleasant surprise!! So organized and filled to the gills but not in an unshoppable way! The prices are very fair. I found the most unique vintage light kit on the porch. It's now hanging in my stairwell. The mother/daughter duo, which i have now met on separate occasions, were equally friendly and engaging. They have a good eye for rare finds....vintage, antique, and collectible. Really, something for everyone! Unless you are just impossible to please! 20-25 minutes from the heart of Beaumont (a guess on my part based on my whereabouts in Sour Lake). Let's do our share to support small local businesses!! This is one is an easy support, too!!”
