“We stayed here from June 1-4, 2025, and loved almost everything about this resort, but we were surprised at how old the building was. We thought it was a brand new Margaritaville, when we first booked.”

“I regret not booking here the first few days we stayed on the island. The beach access was convenient and well lit. The water wall to rinse off sand is soooooo nice. Rooms were clean and cool. The breakfast was nice with typical waffles and packaged sweet bread. The gentleman making the waffles was funny and welcoming. Overall I would stay here again.”
“the room was very clean and necessities were stocked well. it was a bit annoying that you can only get ice on the first floor and the toiletries provided were very small (practically single use and there were 3 of us sharing the room). other than that, the room was awesome and the beds were super comfortable. the location is great too, walking distance to multiple beach accesses, and there was a dollar general on the next corner so that was awesome. the pool was also very nice, the water was nice and warm, i’m glad it’s not a salt water pool like some beach hotels tend to have hahah. the breakfast was really good too, nothing beats a waffle maker and some coffee with honey!”
“The staff is wonderful and helpful and though our condo is a little dated overall for the price and size we are happy with our stay. My one really negative comment is that the beds are awful and need replaced. The condo is clean, has everything needed for our trip, nice balcony, quick walk to the pool and ocean, washer and dryer were life savers we washed clothes several times to minimize luggage size and save money on bag prices, the location is fantastic we have really enjoyed our stay.”
“Recommend booking direct, not thru a third party! Booked in July for trip in November. Turns out pool was under renovation. Fortunately Management approved an ocean view room to compensate the unexpected disappointment. Breakfasts were great, location is awesome, and Staff were friendly. On site food orders were great also.”
“We have stayed here a couple of times in February. Service is great. Some of the condos need updating, but overall, it is a great place to spend February.
Walkability: Some restaurants near. South Padre in general is very walkable.
Food & drinks: Drink prices fairly high. Be prepared to spend $$$$ for drinks.
Noteworthy details: Nice resort. Lots of palm trees. Nice pools. Property kept very clean.”

“We visited off season and we had place pretty much to ourself. Room was clean AC works. What I didn’t like was the fire alarm going off at 2:30am. We didn’t eat here on site mostly because there are tons of places to eat nearby with better prices. iI does have beach access and the property is showing signs of aging. But overall experience was good.”

“The Palms Resort has outstanding customer service and we’re so grateful for them! We had some last minute issues come up with our infant and they helped us out immensely. They were caring and made things stress free. We are excited to book at the Palms Resort South Padre Island again this fall!”
