“We stayed here from June 1-4, 2025, and loved almost everything about this resort, but we were surprised at how old the building was. We thought it was a brand new Margaritaville, when we first booked.”
“My fiancé recently moved from Chicago to Texas for a job. His company had him working on a job at South Padre Island for a couple of weeks. Since I could not make it out Memorial Day weekend for his birthday, he decided to go to South Padre Island for the weekend for his 57th birthday. He decided to stay at Best Western because that is where he stayed while there for work. He said the staff is really nice. He was comfortable and seemed to know some of the staff by name because of how friendly they are. I hope to be visiting 4th of July. Perhaps we will make plans to go to the island!”

“We booked the 3 queen beds room which had a kitchenette and a pullout sofa in it. This room was very spacious and nice. The room was at the backside of the hotel which was not too far from the beach access walking trail. The hotel overall was a great choice with reasonable prices. The breakfast was pretty basic (cereal, muffins and waffles) and a very entertaining fellow in there that prepares the waffles for you. The pool is ok, loved that there is a kiddie pool perfect for toddlers. Only dislike is that the rooms can get pretty sandy especially with small kids. If these bigger rooms had a small broom and dustpan in there that would’ve made it amazing.”
“Classic beach resort right at the entry to SPI. The layout of the property is ideal for enjoying the open beach ⛱️ areas. The rooms have character and are neat. I like the feel of this place, very laid-back ?”

“The Palms Resort has outstanding customer service and we’re so grateful for them! We had some last minute issues come up with our infant and they helped us out immensely. They were caring and made things stress free. We are excited to book at the Palms Resort South Padre Island again this fall!”
