“I’m new to the Taylor area. I asked around about a good mechanic shop and I was immediately directed to Joel over at Universal Auto Repair. Not knowing anything about him, I went with the good reviews I saw on him. Here I find myself raving about him and the service he provided to me. I was totally amazed with the quality of job he did and I honestly feel like I’m driving a new car. I highly recommend that you give Joel a shot at any mechanical needs you might have. “I had a John Deere 5045e that I use around the terminal. Starter failed one morning preventing me to do my work I needed to get done. After visiting 3 different auto parts stores and no luck, someone recommended Taylor auto and electric. The moment I walked in I knew I was in good hands. The shop was amazing and felt like a time capsule to the 40s and there was a cash register from the 20s for display. Absolutely awesome. The two gentlemen were very polite and tested my starter right away and determined it was indeed bad. Best of all, they had a new one in stock! The price was very reasonable and I was able to get my tractor back up and going the SAME day. I will definitely be doing more business with them.Services: Electrical”

When I called this servive at 6:30 pm, ,the tires were ordered while we talked on the phone…& they were installed promptly the next day by noon! “Stopped here on Saturday afternoon, needed a tractor filter. Already tried every other auto store in town. Met the clerk at the door, he had key in hand, they were closed; 1:00pm. As we walked away, I told him he was my last chance. He dropped his bag in his truck, then said, let's go see if we have your part. He did, service like the "Old days", which you seldom see today. Sorry I didn't get the guys name.”

“I took my Mini in for a State Inspection to PAI in Taylor and I was in and out in no time. I also spoke with them regarding a problem with the drivers side window controls not working and if they could take a look at it. We decided to bring my Mini back in for them to look at the window controls. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem. The staff at PAI were very attentive and kept me well informed of what was going on with my vehicle. Will definitely return to PAI for any future vehicle repairs.”

“Quite surprised at other people ratings. This place is perfect if you're looking for good ol' honest men to do efficient work on your vehicle tires and don't care about fancy chit-chat service. Don't be fooled with how the place looks from outside. I've been here a few times to get my flat tire fixed and I also purchased new tires here for my vehicle. Every time they do good work, efficient and quick. And always they charge me honestly and it was cheap/fair. If you want fancy customer service, this is not the place for you.”
