The Hilton Garden Inn Temple Medical Center is noted for its great and convenient location, away from freeway noise and near the hospital, college, and lots of food options within walking distance. The hotel has undergone renovations over time, which have updated features like the closets. Guests frequently describe the rooms as clean, a decent size, and comfortable, with effective black-out shades, good water pressure in the shower, and quiet air conditioning. The staff are consistently praised as prompt, courteous, friendly, excellent, and helpful. Some areas are noted for needed updates, such as worn bathtub caulking, frayed carpet, or lumpy mattresses. Occasional oddities are mentioned, like having only one bedside lamp or no closet doors. The hot tub is sometimes not usable, and there can be a smell in hallways near the pool area. Despite these occasional issues, the overall experience is positive, with many guests stating the hotel is the nicest in Temple, worth every cent, and highly recommended.
The pool & hot tub were unavailable which are the main 2 things I was looking forward to. However, we were compensated with 2 breakfast buffets. Breakfast is NOT included. The bed was extremely comfortable and the place is very welcoming and clean. Will definitely stay again.

The rooms are very crowded and I never understand why they have only space for 1 sutcase when it's a double room! Shower knows are backwards, toilet is hard to flush, humming noise outside our window

I cannot recommend staying here until their renovation is complete. It’s difficult to get in the building, there are construction noises at all hours and the parking was difficult. my room was fine ( perhaps it had been renovated?)
