Horrible experience. Wish I could give 0 stars. I have been with DATCU for 40 years. This past year has been terrible. Closed my account while the branch manager shrugged her shoulders.

I hate this bank. This is the absolute WORST datcu that exists. The drive through gets narrower as you drive straight forward, ripping off your hubcaps. There are no signs or anything that indicate this. Maybe if they buy me 2 new hubcaps I'll take this review down. Until then, go to any other bank than this one if you like to keep your vehicles undamaged.

Worst bank I have ever worked with. Never wants to work with you, gives flat answers of "No" and moves on with means to make things better or right. Took money from my daughter' account to mine and didn't bat an eye at it. Go to Frost.

I’ve been banking with DATCU for 10 years now. I rarely have issues with them however the locations are sparse and if I do have an issue (again rare) it is kind of a hassle to resolve… one example is I came into the bank needing someone to fill out section 2 of my I9 form for my new job. It’s an odd request for sure however many things have changed since COVID & my hr rep said either a friend or family member etc. as long they’re over 18 could sign (I don’t have close family or friends nearby) or a notary could sign. I’m assuming since I am the only employee located in Texas for this particular position…. I’m not 100% sure why my actual employer couldn’t / wouldn’t do it. Anywho, I went into the branch to have a notary fill out section 2 only & the teller / notary named Jamie wasn’t very helpful & wasn’t able to help me fill out a very simple section of my form unfortunately… however I want to give a HUGE shoutout to the assistant branch manager LATISHA ADAMS! I told her what I needed in order to start my job on Monday and she filled it out with no issues! She was sooo sweet to my daughter who was with me as well! If it wasn’t for this kind woman, my day would’ve became a hassle having to go to another place when I trusted my bank of 10 years to assist me. I’ve been debating on closing my accounts here for about a year now and if it wasn’t for Mrs. Adam’s help, I definitely would’ve closed them yesterday because it wasn’t a hard request. I just needed someone 18+ other than me to sign that I have proper citizenship documentation… smh but again THANK YOU Mrs. ADAMS!!!! She changed my experience from a 0 to a 10 in a few minutes! ?

I have got my car financed with Datcu 3 times in a row, and I recently got a call call from Jade Hart @ Datcu in terms of helping me to lower rate on my credit cards. Long story short, he was amazingly patient and courteous through out the process.

Terrible customer service. Not only rude but down right incompetent. I called up last week to have a new card mailed to me and talked to a girl named Lily(after waiting probably 45 mins on hold). It never came in the mail and DATCU deactivated my debit card anyway. When I called them again to have this resolved, they had the nerve to tell me that Im wrong and that I never called to ask for my card to be mailed to me. So I have been completely cut off from my own money because this bank is too incompetent to put a card in an envelope and mail it to the correct address. Unbelievable.

Overall, the employees there are polite and friendly. However, whenever you have a issue that cant be resolved through one of their automated systems it will take forever to reach someone by phone. They will have you on hold for awhile. Every call is routed to their main branch in Denton, its not possible to call a different branch directly. 20-30 minute wait time is the norm. Its been this way for along time, way before the pandemic hit and businesses got short staffed. Its one of the reasons I stopped banking here. Too many other banks out there where thats not a issue.

Financing my car with them, never was aware of the outrageous charges they make for leaving a lapsed of insurance. 2 months is worth $1,985!!! That's a $1,000 each month, way more than my car payment, after talking to representative and she said i should be cleared as longest i provide proof of insurance... here comes a bill for almost $2,000 . This is crazy, i should've stayed with other bank that was financing my previous car, biggest mistake honestly i regret it now. Do the research before doing any kind of switch, the reviews exist for a reason.

I came by to make my first car payment and was greeted by Anabel Torres...I must say she has world class customer service skills and is so personable she took the time to walk me through the mobile app and help me sign up you can't teach the level of customer service that she provides

I have been with DATCU for many years now and always encounter very friendly and professional employees at all branches. I fondly remember seeing Dr.Killough at the old Edmonds Rd branch in Lewisville.

This is one of the worst banks I have ever dealt with. Terrible customer service. Ridiculous charges and unfriendly all around. Bank anywhere else, you're better off throwing your money out a window because they will take it.
