“I love this store. It had sales going on and there was a kids craft being done at the front. The customer service was lacking this time, though. No one greeted when we came in and out. I told the cashier the receipt tape was almost out in the self checkout because it was changing colors and she looked at me but didn't acknowledge that I spoke to her. Overall it was good, though.”

“I’m updating my original one-star review after giving The Castle another visit and having a much better experience. My first review was written shortly after a frustrating interaction, and in retrospect, it was more blunt and severe than it needed to be. For that, I apologize. I still believe some of my original concerns were valid, particularly regarding how certain policies or corrections can be communicated. Even when the substance of what is being said is entirely reasonable, the delivery can sometimes come across as unnecessarily condescending or confrontational. Based on other reviews, I don’t think I’m the only person who has walked away with that impression. That said, it would be unfair of me to let one negative experience permanently define the business or the person running it. It very well could have been a bad day or simply an interaction that went poorly on both sides. When I returned recently, she was kind, professional, and pleasant to deal with, which gave me a very different impression of the store. I’m changing my rating to four stars because I think that better reflects my experience as a whole. I don’t want to completely walk back the criticism in my original review, but I do want to walk back the way I expressed it. There is a meaningful difference between criticizing how an interaction was handled and making a sweeping judgment about someone’s character, and my original review crossed that line. My most recent experience was entirely positive, and if future visits are anything like that one, I don’t anticipate having any issues going forward.”
