The Royston Nave Memorial, now the Nave Museum, was commissioned by the widow of Royston Nave, Emma McFaddin McCan Nave in 1932. The museum, the oldest fine arts museum in the Crossroads, is proud to host five to six art exhibitions per year featuring the works of local, regional, and national artists. Featuring a selection of fine art mediums including paintings, sculptures, and handmade items as diverse as quilts and wood carvings, the goal of the Nave Museum is to enlighten, enrich, and educate through visual and cultural art. The museum offers a diverse range of art exhibits, from impressive high school showcases to more divisive impressionist works. While the museum may not be large, it provides a welcoming and engaging space for the community to appreciate local and regional artistic talents. Visitors can enjoy free admission and parking, though donations are welcomed to support the museum's operations. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, such as the docent Omar, enhance the overall experience, making the Nave Museum a charming and enriching destination for art enthusiasts.
Great quick stop on the way to our destination. Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss? 😃😀😁

I highly recommend visiting this museum to explore the captivating blend of history and art. My visit was truly enriching, and I am eagerly looking forward to returning. I cannot emphasize enough how much I encourage you to experience this museum for yourself.

This is by no means a large museum. There seems to be a temporary exhibit in the front room, and a permanent exhibit in the back room. It's mostly large portraits in that back room. It won't take you long to look at all of it. Parking and entrance were free (although parking would be in the street -- no parking lot).
