It is an awesome place that helps people in need or those going through difficult times with a variety of emergency services and case management programs. The agency provides clients with access to the resources and skills needed to become stable long-term. They offer a pantry service where clients can shop and pick their own groceries, including a huge choice of meats, vegetables, grains, proteins, and even desserts. They usually have pet food, diapers, or women's care products if you ask. The agency also offers help paying past due utility services if funds are available, and advice on health services, housing, childcare, and transportation. No appointment is necessary. They open at 8:30 AM, but you need to get there very early to get a spot outside, and they may run out of tickets. There is only a short wait time. Only one person per household is allowed in line or to go in. You must wear closed shoes; sandals are not allowed. The staff and volunteers are super friendly, helpful, polite, and visibly concerned. They treat everyone with kindness, respect, honesty, and equality, with no judgements made. Privacy procedures are followed. They are determined to find permanent solutions while also offering temporary options. Caritas is the place that will help you as much as they can.
