“In town for family medical procedure and had a very nice stay at the Maurine St. Candlewood Suites. Everyone we interacted with from the reservation call to checkout was very pleasant and extremely accommodating. The front desk personnel provided us with what we needed and Christa was very helpful in assisting us on many occasions including flexibility of nights for the stay.The suite we had was large enough for the family and pets. We took advantage of the pet area which was nice (only needed some cleaning from high winds blowing trash around). The only room issue we had was the bedroom tv did not work properly and we were informed that this was a provider issue.We would strongly recommend this hotel, and we have already booked a follow up stay.”

“Hotel is in excellent location, close to strip mall and eating locations. Staff is Over-The-Top in customer service. Breakfast is hot and complete and always delivered ahead of time. Rooms are in excellent condition, beds are very comfortable. Every member of the staff, from the manager to the cleaning staff made me feel at home, like family. I especially would like to recognize the following staff; Vicky, Vanessa, Beverly, Kathy 1, Kathy 2 and the manager Kenny, for customer service above and beyond. This is now my new hotel when I visit my family in Wichita Falls.”

“I had to find a hotel for my family because my plumbing was messed up. I paid for two nights but planned on paying for another night if my plumbing wasn't ready. Literally, however long it took. My husband's son went out to buy a soda from their machines, front desk staff wouldn't let him back in so he called my husband and he let him in. Then we were kicked out of the room, they wanted us to leave that night but my husband talked him into letting us stay till morning. In the morning, I went to ask him why we had to leave or what we did and he said "I just don't want him to stay here" "I can refuse service to anyone". The man wouldn't give me any reason on what happened or what we did. We literally only left the room to smoke because the rooms are non-smoking. I asked was it because he was black and he never answered. I'm at a loss here because I've never in my life been kicked out of a room or any place for no reason. This had to be discrimination because there is literally no other cause for us to be kicked out I will never stay at this chain of hotels again, and I travel a lot so they lost thousands from me. Places who treat people like this need to be boycotted. My family was declined accommodations for no reason after they already took my money.”

“This hotel was conveniently located for our visit. The person across the hall had a dog that barked every night for the 3 nights we were there. The staff was nice about the situation, but the dog disrupted our sleep.”

“This was my first stay at OYO but I'll be back! The room was clean, quiet, and very nice. I made the reservation on line and got a great price. The A/C got cold really quick. There was a blow dryer in the bathroom. I don't usually have that in the lower priced hotels. I travel a lot for work and try to save when I can on my hotel bill. OYO surprised me a little. It was obviously remodeled but still very nice for the price. Centrally located as well! I'll stay there again and look for them elsewhere!Food & drinks: Close to some fast food places and nice restaurants as well.”

“I was nervous because of the bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, there are so many crickets outside, but none got into our room. There was a paper on the desk explaining the issue. There’s not much they can do about that. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean. My only complaint is the room is on the warmer side; it took a while to cool down and the AC didn’t get cooler than about 71 at night. I probably should’ve asked for a fan or brought my own. Overall it was a great stayRooms: You enter the living area in one room and towards the back the bathroom connects to the bedroom. I love the privacy of it as you can close the door on either side of the bathroom. There was a mini fridge/freezer in our room that was convenient, a microwave, and a small coffee potSafety: You have two locks on your door and you’re on a military base. No concerns thereWalkability: If you want to walk, you could walk the entire base”

“Accomodations exceeded my expectations when compared to the price. I booked my room at one of the lowest rates in town. I was expecting what one might expect when booking a "cheap motel room". I was pleasantly surprised with clean and adequate sleeping and bathroom areas for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.”
“Wonderful people! We stayed for 2 nights in their parking lot with our RV. Truck had a problem and couldn't go much further. They offered us to stay as long as needed and a ride to wherever we needed to go. Thankfully we didn't need a ride.Lodge is clean and smoke free, which is a huge plus!”
