About Sheppard Inn
Sheppard Inn offers a variety of accommodations that cater to different needs and preferences. Guests can choose from newly remodeled suites with a living room, bedroom, and kitchenette, which are praised for being clean and comfortable, though some note that the furniture is outdated and the rooms show signs of age, such as old carpets and small showers. The beds are generally soft and comfortable, providing a good night's sleep, but the small shower size can feel cramped. The inn's location is highly convenient, situated near a DFAC, running track, and a gym across the street, making it ideal for those in service or extended stays. Guests appreciate the friendly staff, with many mentioning helpful front desk service and housekeeping that takes pride in maintaining cleanliness. During longer stays, amenities like laundry facilities, a computer lab, and a small grab-and-go breakfast are available. A free shuttle service is also provided, enhancing convenience for those attending classes or training nearby. While the rooms are often considered better than typical military accommodations, some reviews highlight issues such as limited parking, occasional maintenance problems, and the need for room updates. Housekeeping sometimes leaves doors ajar, and HVAC systems can be challenging to operate during transitional seasons. Despite these concerns, many guests recommend the inn for its location, friendly staff, and amenities, making it a solid choice for extended stays or military personnel visiting Sheppard.
