Ace Hardware Distribution Center is a place for delivery. It is not a terrible place to unload at. The main truck gate is on the West side. Receiving is between docks 129 and 130 on the back of the building. It opens at 6:00 am. The process can be kind of weird: slide tandems to the rear, chalk the tire, lower landing gear, and disconnect air and electrical lines, but do not disconnect the tractor. It can be a drop and hook. Some experiences are mostly positive, with friendly and professional staff making the process smooth. Drivers may be taken in promptly and be out in about 2 hours. However, unloading can take a while. The only nearby truck stop is very hard to find parking, and overnight parking is not allowed in their driveway. At times, staff can be rude and inconsiderate, causing significant delays. The entrance may have construction.

The place is ok for delivery, but the only nearby truck stop (Love’s) is very hard to find parking, so plan ahead. Overnight parking is not allowed. They also take a while to unload.

I was expecting a nightmare based on the reviews, but we checked in at 10 am for our 11 am appointment and were actually taken in promptly. They finished unloading by noon - not too bad!
