Lindsay is the most remarkable bank manager I have ever encountered. She understands relationships and their value. This is the last bank around that has true personal banking. I've been with them for almost 20 years. And even though they have been bought and sold they have remained the same. Truly a rare commodity in this world. Thank you Lindsey, for all the great banking you have provided for me, my family, and my friends.

I recently opened an account with Altabank. It has been one fiasco after another. I received a check in the mail from another US Bank written to me, drawn on US Bank (from closing out an account). I went to my new Altabank and deposited the check in the ATM. I then utilized some of that deposit with my ATM card. That Monday I looked at my account to see the check now had a hold on it. I called customer service and was told they were reviewing the check and it would be available Tuesday. Tuesday the hold remained. I called CS back and was told because it is a new account and the check was deposited through the ATM there would be a 9 (NINE!) day hold on the check. On Wednesday, I went to withdraw money from my account as a direct deposit had just been received (my direct deposit was also 2 days later that my other bank - it was released (by or) on 25 and not made available until 27. I was then unable to withdraw funds from account stating my initial deposit wasn’t received but I had never been advised the opening deposit had not been received - the account had been open for 2 weeks before I was able to utilize it with deposits. I was told the direct deposit would have a 2-3 day hold on it the manager of Riverton told me a direct deposit that is made through ACH needed to be verified. I guess the manager didn’t understand the process of Automated Clearing House electronic funds transfers work. I didn’t have it in me to argue with her passively condescending tone so I left and called the main branch in American Fork. They were able to at least clear this up, but I had to go back to the bank ATM to get funds. This bank will only allow $600 in cash withdrawals through ATM - I wanted more. Talk about a nightmare! Currently awaiting another direct deposit that should have been released today. I have already changed my direct deposits back to former bank, this new direct deposit I could not stop the change fast enough. UGH!! I’ve never had so much drama with a bank - especially the condescension of the Riverton Manager. I made the change thinking a small “community” bank would be so much better and more personable. Wrong, I’d rather just be another body where one is notified before completing a deposit transaction if an extraordinarily lengthy hold is going to be placed on a business check drawn on the bank that issued the check. Now I have to go through the process of changing my direct deposits and that Altabank has added 2-3 days to my wait time in receiving the deposits.

I had my identity stolen. And whoever stole it took an SBA loan out in my name in 2020. I was advised by the fraud department for the SBA to contact the police and contact my bank. I filed a police report. And I went to Altabank for help. They were amazing! The branch manager, Lindsay, took it upon herself to contact SBA to make sure that it wasn’t a scam and sure enough it was in my name. She then directed me to file the paperwork. She offered to copy it for me so that I could fax it to them, and she was so kind and supportive all the way. “Kudos”, for Altabank for having Lindsay at your branch in American Fork Utah. I got a letter from the SBA that it was a false loan, and they are looking into the issue, and I am relieved that it’s no longer on my credit , on my life or on my situation. Thank you Alta Bank for being there! I am a widow, 69 and it’s so good to have someone in your corner.

I've been banking with Altabank for years. The staff has always been top notch. However, I have a bone to pick and I hope this gets their attention. I've recently obtained an interest bearing sweep feature on some business checking accounts, and suddenly I'm unable to reconcile my accounts without a calculator. Why? Because the sweep activity is comingled with the regular activity, and there is nothing on the bank statement that breaks it out for me. So back to the stone age of reconciling with a calculator and hoping you dont make a keypunch mistake on a list of 40+ numbers. If only Altabank's operations folks cared as much as the regular staff do...then maybe someone would update their bank statements and eliminate the need for manual calculators. This should be 5 stars!

I have banked with Altabank for over thirty years. I have always gotten great customer service. Everyone I've worked with at the American Fork branch have always been friendly, helpful, and professional.When we refinanced our mortgage a few years ago, we used Altabank, and specifically worked with the American Fork branch, because we knew they were competent and we could trust them. Everything was perfect. We closed quickly and got a great rate.

Altabank in American Fork has always given me the hometown type of service. I have been a member of this branch for over 30 years, even before the merge and nothing has changed with my opinion. The American Fork Branch of Altabank still has the feel of a hometown bank. I have visited this branch for over 13 years and I continue to be impressed with how friendly, helpful, and efficient they are, especially Lindsay. She is awesome. I typically pop in with random requests and she never treats me like a burden. She is always happy to help, which I greatly appreciate.

Every time I walk into the American Fork location I am immediately reminded why I bank here. Everyone is extremely friendly by greeting me, and helpful! Just recently their coin counting machine was getting maintenance work done, rather than turning me away they were more than willing to count my coins by hand just as fast! I am proud to say this is my favorite place to bank!!
