Had my sewer line replaced by True Trenchless last April. That part went good. However we had another plug in the line and had to have drain cleaned. This company claimed there was an issue where True Trenchless connected to my home. After several texts and calls, Adam came out with a camera and inspected the line and said it was ok and no issues. He also said that he would reimburse me for the cost of getting my drain cleaned and would get me a check within 45 days........STILL WAITING!! Have texted several times and no response. Not too reputable when your warranty and word aren't worth much!!
Also claims on his website to have a "Perfect 5 star reviews on Google". Sounds like a bit of false advertising to me.

Adam and his crew were remarkable! Adam was incredibly responsive and the price was lower than any other bid I got. They replaced my sewer main line. They arrived when they said they would, had a fantastic attitude the entire day. They answered all my questions throughout the work, and cleaned everything up afterwords. The price quoted was the price charged, and I had the BEST experience with True Trenchless. If you are needing plumbing work done, this is the company to use.Service: Sewer repair

Adam and the office staff were always very responsive - always returning my calls promptly and resolving concerns. They replaced my sewer line via pipe bursting and did exactly what I wanted. They did a quality job - not cutting any corners. They replaced the lawn and cleaned up everything nicely. I was very happy with the guarantee, and the price was lower than other quotes I received. I knew I could trust these guys. Can't recommend highly enough.Service: Outdoor plumbing system repair

Our experience was truly terrible. I really did try to give them so many chances to make it right, but it was truly one of the worst experiences I've had with a company in my life (and I work in the construction/remodeling world).First, It took over a year to get the job done and when we sold the house (June), they still hadn't come back to repair the torn up concrete and landscaping from the previous fall.Second, we were told they would permit the house. When they found out they needed to split out the line from the neighbor in order to permit, they ditched that plan and just lined as far as they could leaving me with huge risks of the neighbors line backing into ours. Had I not insisted on seeing the permit, I never would have known.Third, there was one delay after another, a break in the line which left my tenants without water for several days, a tractor dropped off on the driveway months after the line had been replaced with no explanation, and many other situations like this that were NEVER COMMUNICATED TO ME. My tenants had to nag and pester them on site to get information, but if they hadn't kept me in the loop, I would have never known any of this.In the end, we were promised a $1,000 reimbursement that I was told over and over would be mailed the next day - to no avail. In my experience, the sewer repair industry is fraught with dishonesty, but this was a whole new level of poor management. To his credit, the owner Adam talked a good game and continually tried to smooth things over, but it was WAY too little too late and he rarely fulfilled his promises. He's taking on too many jobs and overpromising and underdelivering.Service: Sewer repair

This company is awesome. Always very helpful in doing sewer inspections for my clients when they're under contract on a property. They also replaced our main sewer line a few months ago and did an incredible job.

Wow, what a True Nightmare with these folks. Adam Owens lied to the city inspector to start a job and bypass the pre-inspection process by calling and telling him there was a complete sewer blockage at my address. There was no blockage, it was a preventative repair. This cheated me out of the protections of a proper pre-inspection. He did this on 4/27 and I found out from SLCPU that the pre-inspection was scheduled for 5/9. This was solely to get his financial hooks in me. He was contracted to pipe burst a new sewer line from my house to the street. He ended up doing half the job and not discussing with me that he was only go to do half the job. The city inspector forced him to hire a sub-contractor to finish the job. The sub-contractor installed a liner in the part that Adam didn't replace. So I ended up paying full price for half a job. 4 months later I have a cave-in around an excavation area that Adam refuses to address. Also have the sub-contractor after me because Adam never paid them. He did send them a check after about 3 1/2 months that bounced. What an extremely poor experience.

I was so hesitant going in after reading some of these reviews, but our experience was fantastic. Adam was so great, knowledgeable, and helpful. Adam and his crew worked so hard to complete the job and cleaned up the mess efficiently. We appreciate the hard work and I'm so glad we went with True Trenchless.Service: Sewer repair

Bait & Switch Con // Manipulates & Lies to Salt Lake City Inspectors True Nightmare experience. Adam was contracted to pipe burst a new sewer line from my house to the street and hook the neighbor's duplex into the the line as it is a shared line. Adam came out on 4/25/22 to finalize specs for the job and had his crew dig out one of the access points. He told me he would be back on 4/27/22 to do the main project. On 4/27/22 work started and upon checking progress early that afternoon I noticed that they had hooked up a new sewer cleanout to the existing clay pipe behind my house which was supposed to be replaced. His workers told me that was what the boss told them to do. I called Adam and he told me "Sorry you had to find out that way." Excuse was size of the machine and something off in his locator and he couldn't actually burst the pipe all the way to my house. Never bothered discussing with me. This is the bait and switch. He proceeded with work knowing he could only do half the job with the sole intent of getting financial hooks into me. The following week I was pretty sketched out and wondered if he even had a SLC approved permit for the work. I called SLC Public Utilities and there was an open permit with pre and post inspections scheduled for 5/9/22. I let them know he had already done half the work. That quickly got me to a supervisor and then the inspector. According to the inspector, the morning of 4/27/22 Adam called and told him he had an emergency with a complete sewer stoppage at my address and needed emergency permission to start the work which was given. There was no emergency, 4/27/22 is when Adam planned to do the work. Adam manipulated and lied to the SLC inspector to get his bait and switch work started. He cheated me out of the proper protections of the pre-inspection. I doubt the inspector would have approved the project with a pre-inspection or at the very least would have known the proper questions to ask to determine if Adam planned on a full replacement. I end up with a half replaced sewer line. He did contract another company to install a liner in the clay pipe that was left to my house. They did this but now want to put a lien on my property because Adam will not pay them. To his credit he did send them a check that bounced. Also have a cave-in around an excavation area that Adam refuses to address. Avoid this con man. Completely toxic.

I used True Trenchless to replace a sewer mainline a few months ago. I was initially exceptionally satisfied with the service. Communication with Adam was excellent during scheduling and in the weeks leading to the actual work. And the work on the line seemed to have been done professionally and efficiently. I was so satisfied that I gave each of the guys working on the job a cash tip and went out of my way to recommend the company to others via social media. This is not a five-star review because shortly after the line was replaced, and after I had paid for the work, I noticed a plumbing leak in my utility room. I am 99% certain that the leak was caused by the repair. Adam's guys had attempted to open an access valve in that room to get a camera into the mainline, and I heard them banging around in there for about 30 minutes. The access valve cap is now broken, and I can see fresh silicone used in a bad/botched patch job further up the line. (See pictures below.)After noticing this, I reached out to Adam several times, as he had assured me that the company would take care of any problems related to the line replacement (replace sod, etc.). Unlike before, he was very slow to communicate, and generally ignored my text messages. I waited some time to act as I know he is busy and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I eventually had to call a plumber myself. I was quoted $1,200 to repair the damage. I told Adam this, and because I could not prove with 100% certainty that his guys caused the damage, I said I would pay for the repair if he would just send a plumber that he has a relationship with to do the work for less. This final request was met with silence.I'm a lawyer and considered pursuing recovery in small claims court, but it's not worth the time and hassle. So, I'm taking my medicine and simply writing this review.TDLR: The mainline replacement itself went well, but if you are considering using this company I suggest you insist on holding back some percentage of the cost of the work for a few weeks after the repair to maintain some leverage. I further suggest that you take post-payment promises with a grain of salt. I'm not suggesting that Adam is dishonest, but he apparently has a lot on his plate and you are going to have a hard time getting any meaningful follow up if something goes wrong after you've paid.Service: Sewer repair

Run far and fast from these guys. -5 stars. Hired by a real estate buyer to scope the sewer. It was scoped, I was told verbally it was clean and clear. the buyer/buyers agent was told it needed replacement and they were given a quote of 10K (which included 60 ft of asphalt digging - which is a joke. the main is in front of out house.).No written report was given. Funny how they had time to write an estimate to replace the sewer but not time write a report as to why is need to be replaced. Selling agent even talked to the guy who did the scope and asked for a report - nothing. I emailed and asked about the discrepancy - nothing. When our agent called he was confused about which scope went to which property.Delayed a real estate transaction. A real company is coming out next week to redo this and get the buyers and sellers the same info so we can move on.Overall - worthless waste of time that caused mass confusion. No one called or wrote to try to explain or make it right.
