Pet Care

Cedar City Animal Hospital
2333 W, UT-56, Cedar CityWe recently had my dog euthanized and there are two reasons why I rate them 5 stars. First and most importantly for me: I was adamant that I didn’t want my boy’s last moments to be in a vet’s office. So they came out to the car where he was comfortable on his dog bed and handled the whole situation there where he could be with people who loved him. And second was their compassion. The vet and vet techs were very nice and patient with our grief. They took great care of my dog in his final moments.

Color Country Animal Hospital
390 N 4050 W, Cedar CityDr. Pyne is absolutely incredible! We adopted a dog and wanted to establish care and she went above and beyond! She made sure he was up to date on vaccinations, got on the ground with him to thoroughly assess him, listened to our concerns, and offered great counsel for his care. We lost our last dog to bloat and Dr. Pyne was great about discussing our options for prevention with us. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Pyne!

The staff are all super friendly too, and happily shared advice and ideas about husbandry and signs of illness from their personal reptile keeping experiences. I highly recommend them, they truly are amazing.

Pet Sitting & Training

Quichapa Kennels
7350 3600 S, Cedar CityI have a dog rescue & never thought I could train the dogs-just love on them and find them homes. However, when adopters want leash trained dogs…I guess I better do something about that! Dallin has helped me realize I can train my dogs. I’ve learned so much and feel more confident helping the dogs in my Rescue. You did wonders with the 4 Aussies and now Darla. You are the best kept secret Southern Utah has to offer dog owners! Keep up the great work.

Centro Woodfired Pizzeria
50 W Center St, Cedar CityStopped at Centro on our way back from a full day of hiking at Bryce Canyon and O-M-G, now I get why this place is always packed! It was a Monday night and the restaurant was buzzing the whole time we were there. We ordered the Caesar salad, a half cheese and pepperoni pizza, and the famous Dolce Diavola. I was a little skeptical about the honey on the pizza, but wow it totally worked. Sweet, spicy, and absolutely delicious! Our server Joshua was super friendly and attentive, even while managing a table of nine. He made sure we had everything we needed and kept the vibe upbeat the whole time. Definitely worth the stop! Great energy, amazing pizza, and top-notch service. Can't wait to come back next time we're in town!

Las Flores Family Mexican Restaurant
126 N Main St, Cedar CityGenuinely my favorite, and quite possibly our best Mexican food in cedar , which is saying a lot based on the fact that : 1- we have endless Mexican places , and 2- I eat out constantly ?
Everything this place has tastes super unique and flavorful . There’s just not much generic about it compared to most Mexican places in cedar so it really stands out .
Also , once when they first opened I didn’t know my checking account was empty , and when I wasn’t able to pay the owner just said to pay them back at a later time ! That’s how you know they’re good people !
Eat here soon !

Tacos El Jefe
755 S Main St #1, Cedar CityOn my drive back to San Diego from Michigan, my daughter and I made a quick stop in Cedar City and stumbled upon a true hidden gem. At first glance, the place doesn’t stand out—both inside and out—but the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” has never been more true. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cheerful server whose warm welcome and sense of humor instantly set the tone for the evening.
My daughter went classic with a bean and rice burrito, while I couldn’t resist trying their rolled beef tacos and carne asada fries. Each bite was loaded with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. Of course, the salsa bar was the cherry on top—adding just the right amount of kick to elevate everything on the table.
If you’re passing through or lucky enough to call Cedar City home, this is one stop you won’t want to skip. The food is bold, comforting, and unforgettable—a must-try for anyone craving a meal that goes beyond expectations.

The French Spot
18 S Main St, Cedar CityThis is one of my favorite spots in Cedar City. It’s a cute little place with affordable and authentic French food. The Gratin Dauphinois and Vegetable soup are delicious, and they have the best macarons I’ve tried in Utah. All the employees I’ve met are friendly, and the music/ambience is really fun. Parking can be tricky with construction nearby, but many businesses nearby offer free parking, and this place is worth the little walk down the street.

Color Country Aussies
3583 S 6100 W, Cedar CityIf you can imagine, I am a 56 year old marine veteran. When my wife and I got our baby over 4 years ago. We had recently lost out 15 year old croatian sheep dog to cancer. We bought our girl on line just from pictures and short videos. When we arrived in cedar city, we meet a lady next to the interstate to deliver her to us. My wife got our of our truck and meet the lady and picked up Mya, that stands for my a dog. She put her down on the floor board, and we locked eyes. She came to me and wrapped her arms around my neck and layed her head on my shoulder. I dont know if there is anything to that imprinting theory, but it happened between us. I cried like a little baby and we still have that relationship today. So I would absolutely recommend color country kennels to everyone. One word of caution, if you can't handle a dog that its smarter than most people you know, you might want to reconsider. It gets really old having to spell words in front of her, and after this doesn't work. We have to use code words and use hand signals. Its just a matter of time before she picks up on our system.
